Benzo Sushi Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

The best experience I could have imagined. We saw the good ratings and reviews so we tried it out and had an absolutely incredible meal; both because of the food and the tremendous atmosphere.

Food: tuna and cooked shrimp rolls were spot on, fresh, delicious. Crispy salmon salad was unique and so good. Crispy sushi had the perfect taste combo and texture. The cheesecake. Homemade. Oh my lord. Must get that.

Atmosphere: the place is super unique, authentic but modern with a cozy feel. I loved the decorations and that they had instruments you could play.

The staff: By FAR the best part. They were so fun, kind, and lively. They brought an wonderful vibe by being enthusiastic and continuing to be silly/fun. Like dancing and pumping some fun music when they brought out the food. And they jammed with me, which was insanely cool. The staff seriously made the whole experience and made it different and welcoming. Shoutout Bobo.

Seriously, my strongest...

I was very excited to try this place , but I have understood that reviews in Thailand are not right, I went yesterday evening which was holiday here,I ordered the deluxe set and a uramaki, pieces are big but full of rice which was dense and sticky, overall the sushi is not tasteful like should be for good sushi…some pieces of the fish in the nigiri wasn’t lucid like they should be for freshness…. Due to the fact that some costumers apparently were consuming alcohol (transparent cocktail, sake ) I have asked if I could order a beer but the waiters said to me that was not possible (holiday)…. So I get some soda instead… They have been gentle when they bring me 2 piece of a different uramaki to try … Before to go away, while I was paying ,a new couple of costumers entered and ordered 2 draft beers, confirming me that the other costumers , not all, were drinking , giving me a bitter sensation …. Not sufficient for me, price /...

We were craving for fresh Sushi and so we went to Benzo due the good reviews. And we were not disappointed, we had an exceptional experience. We were greeted by the owner, had a nice chat with him and he even gave us some toys for our little daughter to play. The following food was simply excellent. During our dinner it started raining and when we had finished the guys asked us what hotel we live and how we get back. I told them and said I was planning on ordering a taxi back to the hotel. But instead one of the guys offered us a free ride back to our hotel and we had a fun time talking during the drive.

To sum it up: The friendliest owner and team you can imagine plus the highest quality Sushi for a reasonable price. Huge recommendation. Big thank you to...
