From the moment we set foot in Cucina Italiana, nestled in the heart of Koh Phangan, it was clear that this was not just another Italian restaurant. This place, where the vibrant spirit of Thailand meets the rich culinary traditions of Italy, offers a dining experience that tantalizes the senses and warms the soul.
Our culinary journey began with the Pizza Seafood, a masterpiece that has reset my benchmarks for what a seafood pizza can be. Laden with the freshest catch from the sea, each bite was a dive into the depths of flavor, so exquisite that I’ve been left wondering if I’ve been eating mere imitations of seafood pizza all these years.
Not to be outdone, the Pizza Tuna, ordered by my wife, was perfection personified on a plate. The harmony of flavors, the quality of ingredients, and the impeccable cooking technique made it clear that the chefs here don’t just cook; they compose symphonies.
But what truly sets Cucina Italiana apart is not just its food, but its heart. The proprietors, embodying the spirit of Thai hospitality and Italian passion for food, were not merely hosts but ambassadors of a cross-cultural culinary friendship. Their warmth and genuine kindness added an invisible yet palpable flavor to every dish served.
In a world where dining often becomes routine, Cucina Italiana stands as a beacon of joy, flavor, and connection. It is not just a place to eat but a destination to experience, where every meal feels like a celebration of the best of two cultures.
To all who find themselves on Koh Phangan, do yourselves a favor: visit Cucina Italiana. It’s not merely a meal you’ll be enjoying; it’s a memory that you will cherish, long after the last slice of pizza has...
Read moreUnfortunately a big middle finger to the italian kitchen, as these "Pizze" are thinner than paper and feel more like a Cake/Cookie than anything else. The taste of the Dough was so bad, that we didn't even finish half of our two Pizzas and I don't understand the good Reviews at all!
How can you ruin a Pizza so badly? Niente amore in questa pizza!
Also we tried Tortellini with Ragu, but they taste like cheap supermarket Pasta and the Ragu was very tasteless too. I usually cook my Ragu Bolognese with the Recipe from the Accademia Italiana Della Cucina, which is very tasty, but also easy to cook, even in Thailand, but this one tasted like out of a can.
The only good thing here is the View, because there are seating options directly on the Beach, but regarding the Food, there are many way better Pizze and Pasta on this Island!
P.S. as you can see, the owner replied in a real "professional" way. Of course I don't have to write my review on the day we go there, because I don't want to get too emotional writing a Review after wasting my Money on crappy Food which ruined our evening and of course we mean EXACTLY THIS Restaurant, Cucina Italiana. Why would we come back here? To have another terrible experience for a lot of money or should we show you how to make a real Pizza? 😉
Pizza is Art and you, Mr. Italian Cook, simply don't know...
Read moreHoly cow the food is amazing!! Owner is Italian and the food and flavors were sooooooo good and so authentic. We've been traveling 6 months and sure there are italian places all over in every country. This is genuinely the first one outside of Italy that we've FINALLY found true Italian pizza, gnocci, carbonara, pastas, accurate cheeses on things and sauces. Our dive place actually recommended them otherwise we would not have seen it. A tiny little place right on the beach with the kitchen and owner cooking right there on the side. You can smell how amazing it is right when you walk in. You choose your authentic pasta type and sauce that you want or there are a variety of pizza options. The sauces are swoon and we are so happy to have found such an amazing place right here in the hidden side of Koh Phangan. The prices are also really good. A lot of Koh Phangan be overpriced but this place is right on point. Gem...
