Seaside Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

My reasons for this negative review are simple:

1. Got travelers diarrhea after eating there.
2. The Pad Thai, which is as straight forward a Thai dish as they come, was made in a thick sauce with tons of ketchup - definitely not how you make Pad Thai. I guess they didn't have tamarind?
3. The fish and pineapple dish we ordered came with chuncks of fish so hard, they seemed like bits of dry pork. When we complained and asked if we could replace the dish, we were told we could order and pay for the new dish but we would still have to pay for the one that we were sending back. Definitely not how you run a restaurant!
4. A small niggle in comparison: We ordered a fruit juice that obviously had lots of sugar put into it. When asked, the response was denial and that only "a little sugar" has been added. So, never...

Unfortunately, neither of dish we’ve ordered was tasty. Tom Yum seafood did not taste like it should — rather like some sour fish soup (really weird coz I tried it in 10+ different places on Koh Phangan and Koh Samui and no one made it like that). Tom Kha seafood also had just a single taste — the one of coconut milk, like it was just milk, water and some salt. Papaya salad and fruit shakes were just tasteless. Two stars for nice...

One of the best lunches I had in my life. The place is 10/10- food is super fresh and probably spent time in the sea at the very morning. We took noodles with seafood, fried shrimp and grilled sea bass and everything was incredible! The spot is just on the beach and the view is priceless.
