First Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I had food from this restaurant by the pool at the hotel. I must say, it was the worst food I’ve ever had in Thailand. I asked for a spicy soup — they made it not spicy, but that’s okay, maybe they’re afraid to make it too spicy for foreigners. But the worst part was the seafood. Thailand is a country of fresh and delicious seafood. I don’t know where they found the shrimp for the soup and Pad Thai, but they were definitely not fresh. Completely rubbery — even a knife couldn’t cut them. I don’t know if they were deep frozen or just very old, but neither I nor my children could eat them! On top of that, the soup here costs 100 baht more than in a restaurant outside the hotel. The chefs should be ashamed of serving...
