Frangipani Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

I came here with an hour to pass before my friend arrived so we could have dinner. I ordered a cocktail and put my stuff on a beach chair, I then got told that beach chairs were for hotel guest only.

1. usually any paying customer is allowed
2. there was only one other couple of 2, and about 8 empty chairs.

So I then got told I could have a table, I went and sat down and began drinking my drink. About 10 minutes in a server came up to me and told me I had to leave the table....in the middle of my drink.

So I had to stand with my drink, needless to say I sat my 3/4 full drink down and walked far far far away to another establishment where I got a chair...

Overrated and overpriced. Worst pad thai ever! **Positives- Great location and setting. The view is stunning. Appetizers were tasty, such as papaya salad and fresh veg spring roll. **Negatives- all the food was completely overpriced! So expensive. And it was the worst pad thai I have ever had anywhere, filled with sweet chilli sauce and what seemed like ketchup. Food took a long time to arrive, almost an hour, plus they forgot to bring one dish, green curry. Table was infested with ants or termites, they were tiny little things. All in all, not worth it. Food was just average, but the service was very poor . Only two tables (8 people total) and we still waited 40 minutes for our food. The kitchen closed at 9 pm and refused new orders at 9:04.
