We pay a little bit more than we were use to for a hotel here in Koh Tao because we want to make sure our days here were perfect. When we arrive to the hotel, after a horrible access road, we arrived into the hotel.||The bellman took our suitcases and we had to down a lot of steps as we were in one of the bottom rooms in the of the resort (room 8).|The views and the surroundings of the room are the best of the hotel, full of trees and palms but the rest of the room is quite worse than the middle standard hotels in Thailand. They have ventilations in all the room; that means, you can have all class of bugs in your room.|At the first moment we enter in the room, the room was stinky, with a pee smell.|The sink is really rudimentary.|The quality of sleep it was OK with geko's sound that wake us a few times in the middle of the night but it's normal when you are sleeping in the middle of the forest.|At the next day, as we had the breakfast included, we went in the restaurant and the views are awesome but the breakfast very little... You have 3 options and you can not order anything else... They don't have fresh fruit or even jam for the toast... And the only thing they give you for the toast is a butter what taste very bad.|The coffee it wasn't very good either.|I asked the waiter if I could order one toast more instead of the egg and the tomato salad, and he said NO. It's a pretty bad detail I thing... Because I didn't have any problems with this kind of things in another hotels in Thailand before.||We didn't have any housekeeping service in the 3 nights we were in this hotel, the only thing we had it was a toilet paper and 2 bottles of water just one of the days but any fresh towel or sheets change...||We wanted to rent a motorbike and the lady from the front desk but told us that we couldn't rent it from there, so she told us to take the free taxi from the hotel to rent the motorbike. She is kind and she help us telling us what to visit in the island.||At the end of all, the only thing we were satisfy according with the money we paid it was the views of the room, but anything else... And just for this, I won't come back to this hotel for the...
Read moreGreat place, a little hard to find since it's a bit of a walk from the main road. Very nice balcony with a breathtaking view of the east coast of koh tao. The menu is extensive, maybe too much. With steaks, fish, salads and Thai dishes. The food is very tasty, and dishes are generous. We tried the green curry and snapper fish in lemon sauce. Both were delicious. One more plus here is the cocktails. They are really good! Banana Pina colada and pink mochito were amazing. If you have a desire to end the meal with something sweet, try somewhere else. Brownie and ice cream dessert we had was a bad choice. Prices are not cheap for everything, but are higher if you choose the non local dishes of the menu.
Bottom line, we would come back. The food and the atmosphere...
Read moreExcellent restaurant with a beautiful view. The food is delicious, the staff is welcoming, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are reasonable.
To get there, just follow Google Maps. It will guide you right to the entrance. From the main road, you’ll need to walk about 10 minutes along a fairly steep side street. But don’t worry, the walk is absolutely worth it. If you’re confident on a motorbike, you can ride almost to the door like many locals do, but I found it a bit too tricky and chose to walk instead.
The only dish that let me down was the fried banana, which wasn’t crispy at all.
Overall, I highly recommend this place. If you plan to visit around sunset during high season, make sure to...
