I had 28 hours to explore Koh Tao, and in 28 hours I ate here 3 times. The lady who runs this place LOVES to cook and it shows in the quality of the meals, it’s made with love like when your momma cooks for you. I had Chicken Khao Soi for dinner, then Pad See Ew for a late breakfast, and ended with a dealers choice dinner, I was served Phanaeng curry. All of these dishes were incredible - which is why I only ate here on the Island. Now if I had more time, I would have ventured to other restaurants but I wanted 3 meals I knew that I would love so after the first one, I just kept coming back. The vibe here is unbelievably relaxed, acoustic covers of popular songs in the background. Different elevations and various seating arrangements - don’t come here if you want a boring regular restaurant set up, come here if you want to feel like you’re having dinner in a tree house. I’m here for the hospitality, the vibes, the atmosphere, and of...
Read moreWanted to love this place cause it's a real cool, chilled rustic set up but the service is ran by children who barely understand or have manners, let alone forgetting orders. I ordered pad Thai without soy and what came out was bright orange (MSG??) and tasted like no other pad Thai I've had here in Thailand or at home. It tasted like tomatoes?! Not terrible mind, but not what I was expecting or hoping for flavour wise. And yes I've had plenty of soy free pad thai's over here that still had that traditional flavour cause they just add more salt. I had to ask a child 3 times for my fresh coconut, bless him but then I tried the ma go sticky rice and the rice didn't feel very cooked to me so got too scared to eat it and just had the mango instead. Cheap snd cheerful, I get the good reviews but my experience...
Read moreWow what an amazing meal Pro’s 1/ The Chiang Mai noodles were unbelievable with the coconut creamy milk sauce, tender chicken, crispy noodles to give it a bit of crunch and finished off with the slight chilly heat. Really made me feel like I was back in the north.
2/ To accompany that me being greedy an all, I got the chocolate, banana and peanut pancake. That was a nice thick pancake not a crepe this was so much more it was a delight.
3/ To wash it down I had a strawberry and banana shake which tasted very fresh and was again an absolute delight.
Con’s 1/ I can’t move because I ate loads . 2/ There is no two it was an amazing meal.
