Moon — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

To begin first we kindly got greeted by the staff and shown us to our table which we reserved with our seafood extravaganza + lobster menu (4500baht - 121 euro) The seafood was not great at all and we didn’t read previous reviews which could have more impact on our choice.

The shellfish was overcooked, dry and bland. Especially the lobster was really rubbery. Not alot of seasonings.

Furthermore the prawns and green shell mussels were the same as the lobsters but had a bit more flavor but still was not good.

As for the dining experience left us unsatisfied with the food and we didn’t eat everything. In my opinion this was the worst seafood grill i have eaten.

I cannot give it one star since the service was good and the manager helped us through. She was kind and understanding that the seafood indeed was not up to their dining experience.

We did receive a fair deduction on the bill after we talked about the food.

We hope that the next menu items would not interfere with our resort experience since this dinner was the face of our welcome and it was not great.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Dangerous Lack of Care for Food Allergies

I had a deeply concerning experience at this restaurant that I feel compelled to share. Despite clearly mentioning my food allergy multiple times in both email communication and in-person to the staff, my safety was not prioritized.

Our starter came with a product that I’m allergic to, and thankfully, we noticed it before consuming it. However, the real issue came with the dessert, which contained the same allergen. This could have been a serious health risk, and it was extremely upsetting that the restaurant failed to take any proper precautions.

Additionally, we had to personally request a taxi to get back to our resort, which was an inconvenience we didn’t expect, especially at a restaurant that is part of such a large, reputable...

We recently stayed at Silavadee for a 5-night stay and had the pleasure of experiencing breakfast at the Moon restaurant every morning. The restaurant offered a fantastic live station as well as a variety of buffet options. I opted for fresh dishes from the Ala carte menu each morning and was thoroughly impressed with the selection. Even now that I'm back in Singapore, I can't stop thinking about the delicious breakfast at Moon. The portion sizes were perfect, allowing me to try a variety of tasty dishes.
