I recently had the joy of witnessing a friend's proposal celebration at Moonrise Beach Bar, and it was an incredibly moving and memorable experience! This restaurant not only captivated our taste buds with its fresh and diverse delicious food (including the satisfying seafood platter, refreshing salads, flavorful curry, delicious pizza, along with sweet coconut juice and the delightful mango sticky rice), but it also enhanced this romantic occasion with its unparalleled ocean views, exceptional customer service, and an impressively inclusive and LGBT-friendly environment. Moonrise Beach Bar's beachfront ambiance is inherently romantic, providing the perfect backdrop for a proposal. What truly stood out was the inclusive and welcoming atmosphere cultivated by the restaurant team. As a participant, I genuinely felt the respect and acceptance shown towards different cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations, which made celebrating this love even warmer and more comforting. The restaurant manager, Sunny, and her team went above and beyond to make this proposal special, and their dedication and professionalism were truly admirable. They listened attentively to my friend's needs and offered invaluable advice, ensuring every detail was perfect, including the romantic proposal during the stunning fire dance performance. The magical ambiance created by the dancing flames in the night sky provided a breathtaking setting. The seamless execution of this moment was a testament to the hard work and commitment of Sunny and the entire Moonrise Beach Bar team. What's more, Sunny and her team demonstrated not just excellent service, but also a genuine respect for cultural diversity and a welcoming attitude towards the LGBT community. We where there 2 days after another. First time was ok Due to the nice waitress . The second time was so bad. They have complitlly forgot about us after the first dish. We where waiting for over an our for our main dish. When we asked the waitress about our main dishes she said " yes, I know,we will make it now, because there are more tables now", shoked from her response we dicided to cancelled the main dishes and take our business else where. Then when we got the bill we sew that 10% were automatically added to the bill, due to our experience we didn't want to leave service fees, well since there was no service. That is when the manager came and started to argue with us about the time we came, screaming that "we didn't ask when to bring the other dishes". We told her that yesterday when we came there was no need to do so and we were not waiting for such a long time for our food. Not only that, her waitress just told us that it is because there are more costumers now. At this point she started to yell on her waitress... And we just left. Do you self a favore and do not go to this restaurant. We where shocked, will never recommend...

Just had dinner here on our last night in Samui. We ordered the beef massaman, crispy sea bass with mango salad, and seafood coconut custard (a savoury dish).

It's an extraordinary venue, great atmosphere with reasonable food prices for the location. Many others on this stretch of the beach are exorbitantly priced.

The service from Pui was spot on and she was most helpful. That's her in the centre of the photo.Service was timely and the food came at the right temperature.

The massaman was equal to the best we've ever had, ever. Delicate, rich, and made in the proper slow cooked fashion. It came with roti bread.

The crispy fish was cooked well and tasted great, but the highlight of that dish was the amazing mango salad that came with it. It complemented the fish perfectly. Beware, the mango salad is spicy.

The seafood coconut custard was most unusual, maybe not to everyone's liking, but we really enjoyed it. It was a version of a red curry and beautifully presented in the shell.

Drinks were ok for the price. We had mojitos, and they weren't watered down. Very tasty.

Overall a superb meal and easy...
