We came in for dinner as we were craving Italian food and saw on Google that it was a proper Italian restaurant so decided to come, as soon as we came in we were very welcomed by the Italian sir who seated us straight away. We been delivered the menus and it actually took a while for us to order as the restaurant was almost full and all the employers were very busy, the waitress came and took our order and it was not very friendly to be honest might be that they were too busy but was not very kind… We’ve ordered the bruschetta to start with and it was delicious you could tell the bread it was homemade the tomato it was good quality and the olive oil and balsamic vinegar it was great quality too but so sad to say that the portion served it is quite a shame as we were two and been given three slices of bread only and not four like it should. We have ordered the lasagna for main and it was one of the best lasagna I have ever had it was homemade the meat sauce it was delicious and cooked to perfection as well as the bechamel and the cheese had the right amount and everything was delicious I was so satisfied that i could eat another one however the prices are really high are above average, there’s quality on the food and the red wine it was also quality. The service it wasn’t to our taste however they were full and running around as well the restaurant is a bit small and the noise of big groups talking it was too much, personally the food it was excellent only failed that portion of the bread and the bruschetta that came three pieces only and the service unfortunately as well as the noise, but for food it was brilliant. Best Lasagna...

As an Italian who has been living in England for nearly a decade, my travels around the world have given me the opportunity to explore a myriad of cuisines, yet the quest for authentic Italian pizza outside of Italy has often left me wanting. That is until I discovered Il Duomo Pizzeria in Koh Samui. From the first bite, I knew I had finally encountered a slice of genuine Italian craftsmanship so rare to find abroad. The pizza at Il Duomo transcends the ordinary, offering a taste that's not only authentic but meticulously perfected to a standard that even the most particular enthusiasts like myself can't help but applaud.
Luca, the heart behind Il Duomo, was the epitome of kindness and hospitality. His passion for Italian cuisine shines through not only in the food but in the atmosphere he's created. The service was nothing short of magnificent, making the dining experience as memorable as the pizza itself. It's this combination of exceptional food and heartfelt service that sets Il Duomo apart.
For anyone who finds themselves in Koh Samui, missing the warmth and the flavors of Italy, Il Duomo is a sanctuary. It's not just a meal; it's a journey to the streets of Italy, served up on a plate with a side of impeccable hospitality. My gratitude goes out to Luca and his team for not just a meal but an experience that rekindled my love for Italian pizza. Highly recommended, Il Duomo Pizzeria is a testament to the fact that no matter where you are in the world, authentic Italian cuisine is a universal...
Read moreWent there last year for the first time and revisited there twice in September 2019.
Italian restaurant which competes for first and second place in Chaweng area.
It was very crowded last year, but this year I was able to enter without reservation. But obviously it was always more crowded/ popular than other restaurants. Probably 80% full. ( I felt Samui as a whole in September was less busy than last year.)
The service was fine and all the dishes were delicious. The atmosphere was like a traditional trattoria in Rome. I love their seafood spaghetti using dried spaghetti, diabora pizza (spicy salami) and pork cutlet.
Their pizza was fantastic from dough, tomato sauce, cheese to ingredients! All the spaghettis were delicious. All dishes were large in volume.
My favorite Italian restaurant in Samui. Highly recommended!

I love Italian food! Out of 9 night's stay in Samui, we went to 4 different Italian restaurants. Duomo was definitely the best without doubt. We ordered ice tea, tonic soda, pizza diavolina, linguine seafood, cotoletta milanese, chocolate gelati. Everything was so tasty and the portion were generous. I especially love their linguine and pizza. Seriously one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to including those in Italy.( I've been to Italy 5 times so far.) Cozy atmosphere and friendly service.
Although it took some time to be seated, once the order was taken, the meal was served rather quickly, so don't be scared off, even if there were some queue. Worth waiting or book the table in advance!
Highly...
