Nine Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

What a place. Nine bar is Undoubtedly one of the best that I have been to, not only in Koh Phangan, but throughout my entire travel in Thailand. It is situated just down the road for the Slumber Party hostel, so I presume is easily missed by many. It can however be identified by its large and appealing 'Free Pool' sign out the front. It is owned by an extremely helpful and genuine guy called Tony, who was beyond helpful with any and every request that we posed on the two connsecutive nights that we visited. The Pool table was the best that I have played on in the 5 weeks that I have been in Thailand, as it is brand new, and hasn't seen much play. Ultimately, the beers are pretty cheap, and the food is great; it was the excellent service that Tony, his wife, and their staff provided, that set his bar apart from the plethora on the island. WORST RESTAURANT IN THAILAND…. JUST GO ANYWHERE ELSE 😃The waitress didn’t even say “hello” to us, just came to the table and started to write down our order without a word… I ordered a club sandwich and told her twice that I don’t want any onion in it. She just wrote something down and left without word again. Of course, I had plenty of onion in my sandwich. As I was hungry, I jus put the onion out and started to eat… but there were salad leaves not washed at all with a loooot of dirt… I returned the sandwich an explained and showed the waitress what is wrong and that I am not going to eat dirt. After waiting about 35 minutes for our food and watching people get food when they came in/ordered after us, we asked how long it would be and the waitress rolled her eyes and said we have lots of orders it will be 10 minutes. When it had been an hour, we spoke to another person who said he would find out. No apology, didn't even let us know what was happening. We'd just decided to leave and saw our food coming out which was mediocre at best. The sausage baguette was 1 sausage in a roll.
