My family and I used to come here every week. That all changed a couple of weeks ago after a terible experience with the restaurant’s manager that was so unpleasant, we won’t be coming back. I’m writing this not only to share our experience but also to help the owners understand what’s happening here, because it’s likely they have no idea how their customers are being treated.
Here’s what hapened: My wife, my 2-year-old daughter, and I were dining here as usual. That day, our daughter wasn’t feeling well—she was sick and clearly distressed. We politely asked our server if they could turn down the music just a little to help keep her calm. The waitress was very understanding and went to speak with the manager. Instead of a simple accomodation, we got a shockingly cold response.
The manager came to our table and, without a hint of kindness or empathy, bluntly informed us that the music volume would not be changed. No apology, no “I’m sorry, but we can’t.” Just a curt, “We won’t change the music.” When I calmly asked why, she simply said that this was the volume she was told to keep it at—all while staring at me with a cold, almost hostile expression. Her attitude was dismisive and rude, making us feel like we didn’t matter at all.
After that encounter, we decided we’d never come back. We loved this restaurant, but dealing with a manager who lacks basic courtesy and compassion is unacceptable. I’m sure she was instrutced to keep the music at a certain level, but common sense should allow for some flexibility—especially when a customer has a sick child and politely requests a minor adjustment. Lowering the volume for a few minutes wouldn’t have bothered any other customers, and it’s the kind of small gesture that can make a big difference in the dinning experience.
In a country where labor is affordable, it’s disappointing that a large restaurant doesn’t invest in hiring a manager who’s professional, considerate, and capable of handling such simple requests with a little empathy. Not only should a manager know when to make exceptions to standard rules, but they should also be friendly and accomodating—not cold and unapproachable like this one. And if this is how she treated us, even though we were nothing but polite, I can only imagine how she acts with other guests.
I truly hope, for the sake of the restaurant, that the owners either find a more suitable manager or at least provide her with serious training on customer service and basic kindness. As a business owner myself, I understand how easy it is for management issues to slip by unnoticed, so I hope this serves as important feedback. It’s deeply disapointing that because of one unprofessional manager my family and I had to stop going to what used to be one of our...
Read moreWe stopped in to eat some steaks!!! This place looks like a saloon we had in the old west back home in Arizona, US. For ordering steaks- the menu shows price per 100g for the different kinds of steak. If you want a steak you will need to ask the server for the available steak sizes- they have a paper that has the list that shows the type of steak, weight, and total cost. We went late- 10pm- and most of the smaller steaks were taken, but that was ok. I ordered a 320g steak with mashed potatoes and it came with roasted broccoli and tomatoes, steamed corn, a roasted head of garlic, mushroom sauce, and a pile of salt. The mashed potatoes were great on their own, but I added some roasted garlic and salt and mushroom sauce and they were 10/10. I had my steak cooked medium, because the server said they could go back and cook it more if needed, and it was cooked really well, except for about 1/5th that was very raw and bloody, but my partner ate that part. I put roasted garlic and the mushroom sauce on my steak and it was great. Very tasty steak on its own. There was a tiny bit of inedible fat on it, but a very small amount that I have to a Soi dog after. My partner had the chili cheese fries- they were spicy but the chili was really good. It was a huge portion (and he helped with my plate) and he ate 1/2 and saved the other half for later. We also had the garlic bread (no cheese)- the bread was hamburger buns and it was just fine- I wouldn’t order the garlic bread again. The service was incredible and right before we left they gave my partner a rose for him to give me. Really great...
Read moreVery rude manager ! She doesn’t know how to listen or how to treat customers. We asked for our 310gr meet to be divided into two as they didn’t have a smaller piece & we asked for two set of veggies which they told us they will ask for 50 baht for the additional service, we agreed. Upon receipt of our food manager came over & said she would also charge us for the sauce. We disagreed as on the menu all including the sauce was included in the meet price where we already agreed to pay extra anyway... she was pretending as if she was listening after I kindly asked her I would like to make my point. She was not listening or trying to understand & not willing to compromise as she doesn’t care about customer satisfaction nor she would take any responsibility for a mistake they had made when communicating in the first place. I was very annoyed & didn’t want to carry on with this unnecessary conversation and told her to charge me while she was saying she would not charge us if this is too much of a problem. At the end of the day paying additional 1 or 2 $ was not the deal, I was more annoyed on the attitude & the behavior of the manager. Of course at the end she charged us for a tiny cup of sauce 50 baht ! Guess this was the most expensive sauce in Thailand! In their menu they charge blue cheese sauce 30 baht yet she charged us 50 baht for a simple mushroom cream sauce ! The food was good but I will NEVER go back to this restaurant ever again as they don’t value their customers & I don’t think such mentality should...
