Southway Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We had breakfast here with a group of five, and unfortunately, it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. To begin with, we had to write down our own order, which seemed odd. After that, it took over an hour for any food to arrive, and even then, we received our meals at completely different times.

The quality of the food was underwhelming, especially considering the long wait. To make matters worse, we didn’t even receive everything we ordered. After waiting for nearly two hours, we had no choice but to cancel the remaining items and leave.

To top it off, when I went to pay, the staff member at the counter picked up a phone call in the middle of the transaction, making me wait several minutes without acknowledgment. It felt incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Overall, the slow service, disorganized process, poor food quality, and lack of basic courtesy made this a place we wouldn’t return to...

Stopped by this café on the main street and had a lovely experience. The place is clean, with both a cozy air-conditioned indoor space and a terrace if you prefer to sit outside. The menu offers a wide variety of options — we ordered two flat whites, a vitamin juice, and two breakfast plates, all of which were affordable and super tasty.

The food took about 15 minutes to arrive, but it was worth the wait — fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. Coffee was well-made, and we appreciated the complimentary lemon water served when we sat down. Staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.

I'm so excited to give this place 5 stars, that, I think first time ever, I'm rating the place while still being in the place. Great atmosphere, looks like family run, friendly stuff. I really feel good here. There are small kids, and the owners brought some toys for them to play. But most importantly - food. I have big apetite and normally I order 2 courses. Today I did as well, but didn't even finish the first one, when I felt full. Each plate coming out of kitchen looked impressive.
