Maderla — Restaurant in Thung Maha Mek Subdistrict

We got the private room on the top floor and it’s a really good price for what you get. The place looks just like the pictures. The bed is very firm, so if you don’t like hard beds, perhaps this is not the best place for you. The room is extremely spacious and the bathroom is also very large. It’s the biggest shower I have seen in a hotel. However the bathroom sink has basically zero water pressure for some reason. We stayed for 3 nights and asked for the room to be cleaned and they only cleaned it on the last day. We had to go downstairs and fetch our own fresh towels each day. There is a restaurant downstairs and the menu is pretty good and well priced, however they don’t take card, only cash, and the owner very firmly pressures you to eat and drink there almost every day, which is rather off putting. All in all, if you are a budget traveller and want somewhere decent to stay and very affordable and don’t mind certain amenities not being available, this is the place for you. After searching and looking I found this little guesthouse/restaurant/bar. Must I admit that this is heaven in a city like Bangkok. These people are helpfull in any way, like joining me and giving their phone account to get me a sim... the ros are bi, very arty and so quiet, i felt so good after a busy day. The food is the best with very reasonable cheap prices. And the bar, small, lots of local people but just great. I saw a review about someone complaining he could not sleep due to the bar ???? Sorry but you’re on holiday or working or both like me but it didn’t bother me at all and thats what makes this place unique, the atmosphere, kindness.. and believe me I am a light sleeper and I didn’t hear a thing... you know some people write reviews out of jelousy cause they were not invited.... come down and have a drink. Enjoy life every minute... thank you MADERLA,...
