I would agree with some of the other reviewers that this restaurant serves "old school" Farang food. I tried the "grilled beef tenderloin & crocodile meat" platter. It came with a nice baked potato and steamed mixed vegetables. At 360 Baht, it wasn't cheap, but overall, it wasn't bad quality either. Afterall, it is Thai beef - don't expect too much. The pepper sauce was really nice. Sorry, but I forgot to take a photo.
I also tried the Caesar Salad. There was way too much salad dressing and although there were real pieces of bacon, the croutons were missing. Next time, maybe order the dressing on the side.
Not having eaten since the morning, I was still hungry, so I ordered the "scallop fritter platter". This plate came with breaded fried scallops, french fries and a kind of coleslaw. It was pretty good. I remembered to take a photo.
I washed all this food down with a caraffe of red wine.
All in all, the dining experience wasn't bad. The staff were shy but friendly. Sitting outside comes with the traffic noise in the Soi. There is an inside, air conditioned area, but it seemed more interesting to sit outside.
I will come back again to try...
Read moreTrajai is an inexpensive, primarily Western restaurant catering to international tourists and expats.
Their menu might best be described as British pub food - with dishes such as hamburgers, fish and chips, steaks, gammon steaks, chicken kiev and so forth, although a few more exotic ingredients such as crocodile are also on offer. They have a selection of beers and wines and service is friendly and attentive.
This is not the place for those seeking innovative or top quality cuisine, but satisfies visitors looking for a cheap...

But with their horrible service and food they...
