RASA BKK Taste Of Indonesia — Restaurant in Thung Maha Mek Subdistrict

Sooooo I’m hankering for something different and I decided to order from here on the Grab app! I felt like having some Indonesian food! I decided to order a small amount of food because I’ve never ordered from here before!

Now the taste wise it was very good 😊 The portion wise however not so good!

I ordered five Items and when the boxes came there were only three! The corn comforter and the beef something or another and the extra sauce of sambal Was packed in a tiny box! You will see in the photos!

My son and I really enjoyed the food but I felt the portions for some of the things were quite limited and very stingy! I don’t mind paying more if there’s more value to the food that you eat!

The spice level was on point! The delivery came in time! The food was not hot like temperature hot 🥵

Anyway I would recommend to order from here but make sure to understand that if you’re paying ฿110 for four pieces of beef that’s a bit pricey as far as I’m concerned!

Using the literal meaning of "Taste" as a store name should have been more taken care of than this, in my opinion.

Ordered Ketoprak, Perkedel, Tahu Isi. All the basics of Indonesian food.

Ketoprak Peanut sauce is too thick Ingredients (fillings) are not complete, no cucumber, no bawang goreng At least I can tell the sauce is premix and it's okay taste

Tahu Isi and Perkedel Just ok

Sambal Just perfect

If only either the Thai or Indonesian owner would pay attention more to details and make it as authentic as the names, that'd be an extra star. Came on Sunday on lunch time. No customer is inside.

It's a shame the whole catalog etc looks good, but the restaurant looks dull, should rethink by authentic word "Taste" in Bahasa.

Nonetheless, the non-Thai nor Indonesians workers are very polite and hardworking.

I was very excited to find what's so called Authentic Indonesian food, but...

We had our lunch here and I ordered a fried chicken set menu. It was good! 🤤 If you're a spicy lover, you would love RASA BKK's sambal and telur (egg) balado 💛 I also really like its fried beehoon (I finished it first in the photo!) And I also ordered perkedel and tahu isi. The perkedel tastes good with hints of nutmeg which I like the most as it reminds me of my mom's perkedel. For tahu isi, the tofu is small and it costs 30 thb for 4 pcs which for me is normal price. I think they are using the small fried tofu from the market, instead of making their own fried tofu so that the size isn't the same as the ones in Indonesia.
