Quite arguably the best yellow curry sauce we ever had. We ate there 3 nights in a row and had fresh blue crab made many different ways. Sao is owner and main chef while her daughter and friend Tao help out in the front. Sao's husband Yao gets all the seafood daily from his boat. If you miss this place you have cheated yourself out of an eating extravaganza! 2 Years Later - we came back and nothing changed! Still one of the best restaurant on the Island. This time we had Papaya Salad, Morning Glory vegetable, Shrimp in yellow curry powder and Pork in Penang Curry sauce. All were great.

The food IS delicious. We visited 3x and we liked especially deep fried fish with 3 flavours sauce and chilli stir fried. But the service is not very good. The place gets busy very fast, don't expect they will ask you about another round of drinks. Be ready for a loooong waiting (for taking the order, for getting the food) unless you come very soon after opening. I didn't like that they served first people who came after us, probably somebody "VIP"? The waiter can be nice and smiling, but also ignorant and unpleasant.

Sao is the best!! All freshly cooked and really good in taste and value for the price! After every meal he stuffed us with watermelon for free 😁 we went there everyday. To everybody who is complaining about the waiting time for the food, time is necessary when stuff is freshly made and cooked, if you can't accept that stay at home Sao ist einfach der beste, alles frisch gekocht, sehr lecker und preiswert! Wir aßen dort jeden Tag. Nach dem Essen hat er uns noch immer frische Wassermelone umsonst auf den Tisch gestellt. Jeder der über die Wartezeit schimpft sollte sich bewusst machen das hier frisch gekocht wird, und das dauert eben. Wem das nicht passt der sollte einfach zuhause bleiben und nicht in den Urlaub fahren.

Had dinner at Sao Thaifood in Koh Chang few nights ago and the food was amazing, full of flavour and a good variety to choose from.

I don’t get it, when people complain about waiting for food an hour or so, this place is busy every time I pass it and if you’re waiting you know you’re getting it fresh. Would highly recommended it 👍
