If you’re looking for a hidden gem right by the water, At The Beach in Ao Yon is a must-visit. This cozy beachfront restaurant offers a perfect mix of laid-back atmosphere, stunning views, and delicious food. You can literally sit with your feet in the sand while enjoying a fresh seafood dish or a cold cocktail.
The menu is a great balance of Thai and Western favorites, and everything we tried tasted fresh and full of flavor. Their seafood is especially good — you can tell it’s caught locally. Drinks are well made, and they have a decent cocktail selection for a relaxed afternoon or sunset dinner.
Service is friendly and chill, just like you’d hope at a beach spot. Staff made us feel welcome without rushing us, so we could truly enjoy the scenery. Try to come around sunset. It’s peaceful, the beach lights up with beautiful colors, and the vibe is magical.
Overall, At The Beach is the kind of place where you can lose track of time. Perfect for couples, families, or just a quiet solo break...
Read moreI have to deduct one star just because of the amount of flies and gnats that came to feast on my flesh as I was eating this delicious food... recommend the crab Curry, the Som tom, The prawns with fried rice and The spicy glass noodle and seafood salad. everything was delicious and quickly made. sun was setting and it was a great place to spend that time. service was great and while I wasn't a big fan of the chairs as I'm a big guy and they're kind of small, that's a small thing to nitpick on. all in all I had to deduct one star for the bugs. some well-placed fans around would have helped. they do have some bug spray that we found in the condiment tray so that was nice but they still were all over the food. still in all I would go back the next time in this area as it was Great food. Great people. Great setting. and before I hit send I'll upgrade it to five stars because I did love it there and so did...

The fish in black pepper was a tiny serving with no black pepper. The squid in lime sauce was at least edible. The fried rice - along with the fish was so overcooked that my baby would have complained it didn't have enough texture. The guy serving seemed decent but maybe the normal cook was off this night because my Thai wife and I left half the food on the table, paid our bill politely and got an ice cream and some chips on the way home. Maybe go for a sunset drink. But...
