I was chilling at a bar, when a bartender from Inside suggested me to follow him to his bar. I finished my drink and walked with him down the street to the bar. When I stepped inside Inside ;), I was amazed by how beautiful it was – clean, classy, and one of the nicest bars in town.
I met Francesco, the owner, right away. He knew his bartender had brought me and welcomed me with some seriously tasty deep-fried squids from their kitchen (which you should definitely try).
Francesco then explained me his concept and menu directly. It's like a journey through life, told me. And so it was. I tried about six cocktails, and each one was fantastic. While tasting them, I chatted with Francesco, asking where he got the inspiration for each, and every explanation was filled with joy and passion.
The menu is something you'd expect from bars experimenting for years, but Inside has only been open for a couple of months. Francesco surprised me by saying the menu changes completely every couple of months. So every time you go, you get a new and fresh experience with the same quality and story depth behind the cocktails.
What caught my interest is that you can take a risk and describe the flavor profile you want through a "map" – like the type of spirit, sweetness, acidity, and more. The mixologists will then create a unique cocktail just for you. If you're lucky, your cocktail might even make it to their daily menu.
I won't give away more; just make sure to visit Inside and spend some time there. The place and the experience deserve your time and joy to fully appreciate everything. A big thank you to everyone at Inside! I'll be back as soon as possible. After trying over 20 bars, I've found my top spot here in BKK.

Read moreActually a nice bar, somewhat hidden in a small side street. As almost everywhere, the drink prices are around 400 baht per drink plus a 7% tax and 10% service charge. I think the prices are justified if the quality is right. Unfortunately, the cocktails are of rather lower average in terms of quality and taste. A good cocktail bar is usually characterized by high-quality and good signature cocktails. Unfortunately, this is not the case here. We ordered both Signature and Cocktail Classics, but both were a bit disappointing. First we ordered a classic Moscow Mule and asked beforehand if it was really mixed with real Ginger Beer. Unfortunately, the statement from the bartender was wrong and the cocktail was mixed with a little ginger, lime and cheap vodka. This had little to do with a Moscow Mule. The second attempt was a signature cocktail, Jonny Depp. According to the drinks menu, this should be mixed with a high-quality 7-year-old rum. We sat right at the bar and my wife saw the bartender just take a white barcadi instead of the Methuselem 7 years. When asked, she was told that the actual rum is not there, so he just takes a bad and cheap product. Very unprofessional. I then asked to take the cocktail with another rum from the range, which tastes close to the rum from the menu. Unfortunately, this also did not convince in terms of taste. Conclusion: The drinks are too expensive and badly made. A visit might only be worthwhile if you want to drink a bottle of wine cheaply between happy hour. The ambience is ok, but there are nicer bars with better drinks in Sathon and the...

🧐 Don’t be fooled by the high rating—take a moment to check whether the glowing reviews are from valid accounts.
🥃 First, I noticed that the bartender looked like he didn't want to be there; I should've taken the hint. But I went ahead and ordered the Johnny Depp cocktail, expecting a well-balanced, spirit-forward drink based on the listed ingredients—rum, ginger, honey, citrus, and kaffir lime. Instead, it arrived bright blue and sickeningly sweet. Confused, I asked the bartender why, and he casually responded, "I put blue curaçao." A key ingredient, unlisted. When I said I couldn’t drink it from the syrupy sweetness, he simply shrugged, saying, "That’s the recipe."
🍹 My husband took one sip of his Daenerys Targaryen and it tasted like straight-up melted candy. Once informed the bartender, he said that's how they do it there and asked, "you cannot take drinks with syrup?" It's like telling the chef the food is inedibly salty and he asks you if you're against salt.
🖼️ The ambience is actually quite nice. If this place scrapped the gimmicky cocktails and reinvented itself as a sports bar serving beer, wine, and simple mixed drinks, I’d...
