Another Perfect Stay at W Bangkok Returning for My Own Birthday After My Partner’s Incredible Celebration Last Month Last month, my life partner and I stayed at W Bangkok to celebrate his birthday, and the experience left such a strong impression on us that we knew we had to return again this time for my own birthday. And I must say, everything about this stay was even more impressive and memorable than the last. It exceeded all expectations in the most beautiful ways. From the moment we stepped out of the car, the front-of-house team welcomed us with the warmest smiles. Everyone remembered our names and greeted us with genuine kindness that made us feel instantly at home. We checked in with a lovely female staff member (whose name I sadly didn’t catch), but she was truly kind, professional, and made a great first impression. Shortly after, we were greeted personally by Khun Boom (Assistant Front Office Manager) and Khun Pat (Group Director of Sales & Catering). Khun Boom AFOM, who had already taken such heartfelt care of us on our previous visit, was just as warm and sincere this time. Her consistency, grace, and personal touch moved us so much we were genuinely touched to the point of tears. She is a gem of hospitality. This was our first time meeting Khun Pat, and his presence immediately stood out. He radiates calm elegance, with flawless manners, polished professionalism, and a smile that instantly puts you at ease. And if I may be honest… “Khun Pat is incredibly handsome like someone who showers 100 times a day and walks through a mist of Chanel every hour.”He has this clean, radiant aura, with flawless skin and a luxurious vibe that’s impossible to ignore. I turned to my partner and said, “This is exactly what perfection looks like.” That evening, we headed to Paii, just as we had done the month before. Although we originally reserved for 7:00 PM, we ended up lingering a bit longer by the pool, enjoying cold beers and the perfect evening breeze. The staff were so kind and flexible about adjusting our time. Later, we found out that Khun Eton (Assistant Director of F&B) had been checking in and asking about us, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Khun Eton is always so incredibly kind. Even on our checkout day which happened to be a public holiday he made time to see us off in person. That level of care and personal connection truly touched our hearts. At Paii, once again, everyone remembered us and welcomed us warmly. Special thanks to Khun Opal (Restaurant Manager) and the amazing team who prepared a surprise birthday cake moment along with a signature cocktail that was not only stunning but delicious. The food was, as always, bursting with flavor. Paii continues to be one of our favorite restaurants of all time. We stayed in the Urban Suite (Corner Suite) that night, which offered beautiful views of the sunset and the Chao Phraya River in the distance. The ambiance was romantic, serene, and truly unforgettable. The room was decorated with thoughtful birthday amenities and balloons, and every detail was perfect a reflection of the incredible care from the W Bangkok team. It honestly felt like we were staying in an Ultra Luxury Hotel but even more than that, it felt like a deeply personal, curated luxury experience just for us. The next morning at The Kitchen Table, we were surprised once again with a birthday cake celebration! This time, Khun Boom AFOM Khun Pat Group Director of Sales & Catering). , Khun Puean (Restaurant Manager), Khun Dodo, and Khun Aoy came by to sing for me and wish me a happy birthday in person. It was such a joyful and heartwarming experience I couldn’t stop smiling. The service at W Bangkok continues to be the best we’ve ever experienced not just in Thailand, but anywhere in the world. From the attention to detail, to the sincere smiles, to their remarkable ability to make each guest feel like the most important person in the room this hotel isn’t just a place to stay. It’s a luxurious home with a beating heart.

Even though we used mobile check-in at 13.00, it turned out that when we arrived at the hotel the room was not ready, we had to wait until 15.30 to be able to enter the room. While waiting for the room, we finally went to Pratunam using BTS because the hotel was close to BTS. my NUA was approved and I got the Marvelous Suite Room (from Wonderful Guest Room). As a Titanium Elite, I got free late check-out until 16.00 and free breakfast as a welcome gift. Because it was my first time at W Bangkok, I was given an additional 1,000 bonus points as an additional welcome gift. There is no lounge at W so they gave me a free voucher for 2 drinks at the bar. At check-in, a welcome drink was also provided, fresh iced tea. W Bangkok has a famous dining restaurant, namely Sathorn House. The lobby is aesthetic with blue mood lights and lots of artwork decorating it, the public bathroom is also very beautiful with a touch of gold mosaic. The room itself is very spacious, there is a foyer with seating and a table, a powder room with a washbasin and a closet. Then the living room with a work table and chairs, a minibar, a sofa, a pouch and a coffee table. The bedroom only has a mattress and a pouch and a small table. The mattress is comfortable and soft and very suitable for resting with 4 pillows. The view is not good, only to the next building. The TV is big but looks small because the room is spacious. The wifi is also smooth and fast. All room controls use a tablet, both lights, air conditioning, and the do not disturb button. The tea uses TWG while the coffee uses coffee capsules. For W Bangkok itself, I think the interior is a bit masculine with lots of dark colors. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub with a TV, a washbasin with 2 taps, a shower with a rain shower and a closet. Unfortunately, the closet is not a Japanese closet with a heater and buttons. For amenities, use the standard W hotel, namely Momo. I and Momo myself are not very good because even though it smells good, it has a plastic aftertaste. The facilities include a gym, spa, swimming pool, bar, and the Sathorn House restaurant. The gym is spacious, complete, and for drinks there is bottled ginger ice. The swimming pool is not too spacious but aesthetic and there are 2 bags used for sunbathing in the pool. The bar is aesthetic but only for adults and is very crowded at night. The drink menu can be seen in the photo. I myself chose a mocktail served with olives and nuts, the mocktail was refreshing. In the morning we had breakfast. For W there is always an A-la Carte and Buffet menu. It tastes good and has many variants, but because I have tried W Hong Kong and W Singapore, W Bangkok still feels far compared to other W (the price is also better than other W so please understand) A-la carte options: 1. Various types of egg dishes, kimchi porridge, guay jub yuan, vegetarian and Indian menus, 2. Various types of drinks ranging from signature coco latte, tea and various coffees The Buffet menu includes: 1. Gluten free corner, marble cake, madelaine, almond cracker, bakery and pastry 2. Waffle, pancake, salad, nuts, cheese, cold cut, juice, Thai tea, green tea, cereal, yoghurt 3. Bircher muesli, sweets, fruit, Thai steamed bread, Thai desserts 4. Cabbage, Indian food, rice noodles, okra, noodle station, quiche, salmon tartines 5. Grilled pork neck, bacon, sausage, braised chicken, bean potato, chicken cutlet 6. Fried rice, noodles, tomato egg drop soup, porridge, oats, steamed buns, dumplings, Chawan mushi

A great stay but I think it could be better. Booked the W for a layover stay in Bangkok. It was my second stay at the W Bangkok. Spoiler alert, it was my first time getting a suite upgrade as a platinum member in Bangkok - I’ve never received a suite upgrade at the Athenee even though I’ve spent a few weeks (cumulative) at that property this year (but can’t really blame them due to their high occupancy rate). I was genuinely surprised when they agreed to assign a studio suite pre-arrival. I was supposed to stay for three nights but I had to cut it short to one night due to work commitments. I arrived at the hotel at around 7.30 am, which was much earlier than anticipated. The welcome desk agent assigned a temporary room for me to get some rest first as the suite was not yet available. I really appreciate her effort as I wasn’t able to get much sleep during my flight from Australia. The suite was ready at around 3.30 pm. While the studio suite is on the smaller end, I really like having lots of windows and natural lights in the room. They also prepared some fruits and welcome gifts in the room. However, the room was starting to show its age and there were some faulty equipment in the room. An annoying thing was that there was a buzzing sound from the toilet all night long but I couldn’t be bothered to request a room change in the middle of the night. The noise from the BTS was quite clear as well even though my room was on the 29th floor but I don’t think it can be readily fixed at this point. Their breakfast spread may be a bit limited as well, when compared to some properties around the same price point (including the Kimpton, or the Athenee). However, I think the food was quite delicious, especially their pastries and drink of the day. While I know that they have to accomodate different dietary requirements, I hope that they could expand a bit on the options for Thai cuisine. The Wet Deck is excellent if you like the W’s bold use of colours and design. The House on Sathorn is very beautiful as well and I think every guest should visit the bar/Paii at least once throughout the stay. I spent a voucher at the W Lounge as well. It was a Sunday so it was nice and quiet. Overall, I feel like their service may not be as polished as the Athenee / Sindhorn. With that being said, there were some exceptional staff around the property as well, such as the welcome desk agent (sorry I forgot to get her name), the host and hostess at The Kitchen Table, Wow/Wau (sorry if I misspelled his name) from the concierge, the hostess and the bartender at W Lounge, and those from the Wet Deck. I was particularly amazed by the service provided by Wow/Wau when he was helping me with the luggage when I moved into the suite. Also, they did a fantastic job on the service recovery when I briefly mentioned about the toilet sound during checkout. I got a business card from the Welcome Desk manager and she got me some gifts as well. I had similar issues at other properties but I must say I was surprised by their quick responses. Tbh, I was going to cross off W from my list in Bangkok but ended up thinking of moving my reservation here in the near future.

The W Hotel is conveniently located about a 3 to 5 min walk away from chong nonsi station with a fair share of small eateries nearby as well.||Our stay went off to a bad start, as the hotel couldn't find our reservation. The 3rd party website we used - trip.com - took an hour to reinstate the booking. We felt there was a lack of personal touch at that time as we certainly would appreciate some assistance from the hotel in helping us check with the company concerning the booking or to offer us some assistance, as it was quite distressing for us but there was none. Trip.com didn't help much as well as all they could do was to tell us to wait as they tried to reinstate the booking.||We were allowed to check-in as soon as our booking was confirmed and was offered an upgrade to a suite due to some defects in our room, although this took about 4 hours to confirm and by then it was late in the evening at 2200.||The suite was enormous and beautiful while the bed was comfortable. There were some defects in the room such as a loose shower head and a socket in which we couldn't connect our charging devices but these were quickly resolved. It would be nice to have a pillow menu to refer to though, and to be able to request for amenities via the tv, like what some hotels have done. ||Breakfast was fine, with both a buffet spread and a made to order menu. There could perhaps be more rotations, but otherwise there was sufficient variety. Service was a hit and a miss, with some who would take the initiative to ask if there was anything else we required ordering and others who just cleared plates. We were also given suggestions on how we may spend our day when a staff learnt that we didn't really have anything planned.||We went for their buffet lunch and despite not reserving a table, we managed to get a sit. We were brought in by a staff and were told to wait as she said they were fully booked and she needs to see which table is available.||As we were waiting, a male waiter came over and simply just told us they were fully booked and seemed to expect us to leave. We ignored him - which was fortunate as the female staff managed to find us a table.||The food was excellent and we enjoyed it very much, and we're extremely grateful that the female staff managed to get us a place at the buffet as we were checking out the next day.||We also purchased some of their mooncakes. Again, staff said different things. A male staff told me their durian mooncake was not available and didn't even bother checking to see if any stock was available. I was surprised as I only just managed to purchase one earlier in the day. So I decided to wait a few moments before asking the same question to another female staff, she spent the time to check and communicated with the kitchen and managed to get a durian mooncake for me.||Service in the hotel is really a hit and a miss, and different responses from different staff (like the durian mooncake issue when one staff said it was available and another taking the time to see if it was still available, or when the waiter just tells us that there was no table available but another managed to find a table for us) can make things confusing and doesn't entirely reflect well on the whole. However, really it was the hits that really makes the stay in the w hotel memorable as some of the staff really go above and beyond what is required and really spend the time checking and clarifying something before saying that something cannot be done or is unavailable.||The general manager, Alexander Kellermann and his team of assistant managers Were in contact with us and solved our issues promptly upon learning about our experience. They were apologetic and more than made it up to us, even givung us some pastries to bring on our journey.||While the stay started off uneventfully, it got much better as we went on. The exceptional service provided by some of the staff together with the assistance provided by the various assistant managers and general manager Alexander Kellermann (who came over to personally apologise for our experience and also shared his thoughts on the mooncake and which flavours he thought were nicest) to ensure that the rest of our stay remained pleasant more than made up for it. They carried the hotel well and certainly deserved...

Another Perfect Stay at W Bangkok Returning for My Own Birthday After My Partner’s Incredible Celebration Last Month

And if I may be honest…

“Khun Pat is incredibly handsome like someone who showers 100 times a day and walks through a mist of Chanel every hour.”He has this clean, radiant aura, with flawless skin and a luxurious vibe that’s impossible to ignore. I turned to my partner and said, “This is exactly what perfection looks like.”

That evening, we headed to Paii, just as we had done the month before.

It’s a luxurious home with a...

It tastes good and has many variants, but because I have tried W Hong Kong and W Singapore, W Bangkok still feels far compared to other W (the price is also better than other W so please understand) A-la carte options: Various types of egg dishes, kimchi porridge, guay jub yuan, vegetarian and Indian menus, Various types of drinks ranging from signature coco latte, tea and various coffees The Buffet menu includes: Gluten free corner, marble cake, madelaine, almond cracker, bakery and pastry Waffle, pancake, salad, nuts, cheese, cold cut, juice, Thai tea, green tea, cereal, yoghurt Bircher muesli, sweets, fruit, Thai steamed bread, Thai desserts Cabbage, Indian food, rice noodles, okra, noodle station, quiche, salmon tartines Grilled pork neck, bacon, sausage, braised chicken, bean potato, chicken cutlet Fried rice, noodles, tomato egg drop soup, porridge, oats, steamed buns, dumplings,...
