A lot of people has visited this place earlier and have posted many updates and information regarding the restaurant. Thus I will not describe on that and want to dig into the foods directly... We ordered: Malai Murg Ki Gillori (5 pieces): Have no idea regarding dish as I visited for the restaurant for first time. After placing this order the vallet came to me and explained about the dish and want to know that if I jave any problem with the spices they use. As I ask them to prepare it as it is. It is one of the best mughlai starter I have ever tested. Soft tendered chicken just melted inside the mouth as it is not a solid piece of chicken. They creats small tofu's of chicken with the paste of chicken and tossed in milk, cream and kasturi methi... (Rs. 245/-) Lucknowi Dum Biriyani: Normal Mutton Biriyani presented beautifully in a perfect shape of a cube. Most specifically the egg and potato were inserted into the rice but the mutton is placed just beside the cube of rice. Very light biriyani with very less smell of the sent and minimal use of artifical colour (Rs. 225/-) Hyderabadi Ghost Sofiana: While placing the order of this dish the vallet told me that it is a rice without any spices just with taste of biriyani and filled with raisins and cashwey. But i never thought to get such dish. It looks like normal white rice placed in a cube shape as same as biriyani and stuffed with egg and potato and filled with raisins and cashwey. It tastes like heaven. I have never tasted and never thought of tasting such a beautifully and sinful rice with a nice aroma. (Rs. 225/-) Baristah e Murg: The dish contains two piece of chicken with nice aromatic gravy placed in a small bowl. The thick gravy over the chicken is a perfect one to have it as a side dih with the biriyani or to accompany it with any of the breads. (Rs. 165/-)

The most successful restaurants are ones that provide meals with an experience we'll never forget, an experience that is truly unique. Last week I visited such a place after so many days and that is ' The saffron Tree' ! Foods I had - ▪Lichi ke kebabs 👉This had my heart . Try if you wanna try something new. ▪Machi aur aam papad ki kebabs 👉This was Heavenly. ▪ Hyderabadi Murg Sofiana 👉 I simply love the good biryanis. This Hyderabadi chicken biryani is an aromatic, mouth watering and authentic Indian dish with succulent chicken in layers of fluffy rice, fragrant spices and caramelized onions. Served with one boiled egg and one potato. ▪Signature La ferme 👉 A pizza with some great tasty twists. They use some kinda Indian fried bread instead of typical pizza crust in this dish. It is so cheesy and so yummy. ▪Gosth ka Halwa 👉Ever heard of a dessert made of mutton? It is almost a lost recipe now. Sounds unique but actually it turns out very delicious. The end product was like any other halwa / pudding that is generally made, but far more yummier. I bet no one will be able to guess the core ingredient. So definitely this should be a must try at here. 👌🏻Special mention - ✔The correct use of the pretty interior. ✔Very cosy ambience . ✔Well behaved and professional staffs. ✔ Also Chef Sambit had walked over after our meal to talk about our experience and he was so good that he let us knw abt the origin of the dishes and all. That's wonderful really. ✔Very very importantly they serve such items that you have never eaten in other restaurants in kolkata. VERDICT- This place is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL. I bet you'll be falling love with the place and their tempting food. So go and make it a hit and thank me later. 😊

Recently, I have been at South Kolkata while wondering to visit a distinctive restaurant and I just found one through Zomato app which stole my heart. The Saffron Tree is a haute multicuisine restaurant . The interiors basks in a mild saffron hue and has a colourful installation made of cups and saucers which is quite modern and interesting. The saffron tree has an eccentric inside look, like a very charming and vibrant modern palace. The dishes served were as lit as it's décor and Every signature dish has its own story to tell. The staffs are polite and well mannered. There we ordered , 1.Malai Murgh ki Gillori : It was a restaurant recommended dish . The pieces were well cooked and very soft and creamy in nature. To be very honest, this was the best kebab I have ever had. 2.Biriyani : The biriyani was served with a egg, one nicely boiled potato and one well cooked mutton piece, maintaining a nice décor. It was actually very distinctive in taste and flavour. 3.Martaban ki murg with lachcha paratha: Martaban ki Murg was served with four large pieces of chicken. The gravy was carrying a mouthwatering taste which was the perfect pair of Lachcha Paratha. 4.Fashion Flora (mocktail) : Fashion Flora was one kind of attractive mocktail , rather a nice refreshing drink. The flavour was made very unique with the perfect blend of orange and fresh limes. Important Note: They provided some sweet and sour candies at the last which helped us to digest the food. You will also get a bar there where you can have mocktails as well as cocktails. So, It was a great experience and wanna recommend everyone to try out their items for once.

✔️This place had been in my wishlist for very long and finally I got the chance to go here yesterday. 💛Ambience - The ambience needs a special mentioned. Everything is asthetically decorated keeping the saffron theme in mind. The walls , the hanging cups , the sculpted visual of kolkata everything was very soothing and very very beautiful. 🔘Food - 🔶rosemary scented pork ki kakori - this comes in seekh kebab style alongwith 3 liquid tubes which we are supposed to have with the kebab. it was so tasty any pork lover must try this dish. 🔶Haleem - I highly recommend this item. It was a perfect blend of dal and spices. The waiter explained that it contained 80% mutton keema and 20% chicken keema. 🔶Bakarkhani - This is a bread which went perfectly with the haleem . It melts in the mouth and tastes really unique. It tastes salty on the outside and as gradually it melts you get a sweet taste. Its very soft and yum. 🔶Tst special pork biriyani - one of the most amazing tasting biriyani, comes with 2 pieces of pork, a giant potato and an egg. its very delicious , the flavours are not overpowering. I am not a biriyani lover at all but this biriyani stole my heart and i want to have it again. ✔️Service - The waiters were really good. They explained a bit about whatever we ordered yo give us a clear idea. The service was also super fast. All our orders arrived within 5 minutes of placing the order. ✔️Bill - the bill was ₹795 only . very reasonable compared to the taste and service and quality of food.

I have to say that I was completely mesmerized here. Mr Sambit Banik, a well educated innovative chef from the city opened this restaurant earlier this year. As the tag line suggests, it's "hauté Mughlai". The amount of research that Mr Banik has done to prepare the menu is really unbelievable. We were greeted with "Litchi ke Kebab", which is a mind blowing kebab item made of the litchi fruit. We had Mango fish, which is a fish kebab made along with aam papad. We also had a crab meat starter and JMBC (Jama Masjid Butter Chicken), a chicken sizzler where you'd love to eat the lettuce as well 😊. This item, as Sambit suggests, is a tribute to a preparation made outside a food stall made outside the Jama Masjid gate. The cocktails we're equally fabulous. We had a "Kinetic" LIIT, which has Jagermeister added to the traditional LIIT. A Hajmola Collins, which has powdered hajmola added to the traditional Tom Collins Vodka. To add, Sambit goes around talking to each customer about their experiences and takes feedback from each one of them. He carries a little meat thermometer on his shoulder pocket, which is used to check the ideal temperature of a batch of kebabs made, in order to ensure that the meat has been tenderized adequately. The ambience is wonderful, and I'm glad the the place is full on all days, even up until closing time. In all, it was a fabulous experience. All the best to Sambit in his future endeavors.

On this holy occasion of Christmas me and my foodie partner visited this place. This place is pretty awesome.. the ambiance is very eye pleasing...! On that day they had their special limited menu..from there we ordered JMBC and Machli Hing Nisha...both the starter were very well presented! The JMBC chickens were very soft nd flavourfull served in a sizzling plate..topped with molten cheese gravy..! Where as five piece fish served beautifully on a stairs like plating..! Very unique. The fish was mouth melting. very well marinated topped with cheese...! Now coming to the main course we ordered TST Special pork biriyani..and Lucknowi Mutton Dum Biriyani..Both the biriyanis were tasty. Quality and Quantity was good..Pork biriyani is definitely recommended for the pork lovers..the piece given was quiet good, the fat portion and the meat portion was 1:1. whereas the mutton was really very soft..! The aloos were very well cooked. For the side dish we ordered a mutton item which i forgot the name. Four piece mutton ,bit spicy....cooked in chap style i felt i could be more better...!! They also serve hard drinks and soft drinks as well. Its a fine dining family restaurant ...You all can come and enjoy the fine dine in experience with your family and loved ones. Pocket pinch 1000 for two approx.. Not at all pocket friendly....But the quality if the foods will justify your money indeed.. Regards Aritree Sarkar
