Located on the outside of One Woodbrook Place, along the Restaurants stretch it is a good representation of Trinidad's "Chinese food". Being on the compound of the popular cinema , Digicel Imax, it shares the same inherent issues for parking. You can park in the underground area (if you are lucky to find a park in peak times) or park along the side streets. The area is relatively safe so your vehicle should be fine where ever you chose. The restaurant has two areas of dining outside uncovered or inside an Ac chilled room. Both have music for ambiance but outside will be competing with noise from other restaurants and their patrons as well as road noise. Outside is quiet enjoyable and comfortable at times where the temperature is cool and sun is near the horizon. The lights and plants make the little area feel like a garden dining experience. Inside dining area is on level with upscale Chinese restaurants countrywide , with chair and table coverings , orientation decor and a koi tank. Staff is very courteous and helpful whether it is take away or dine in. Wait time for food usually is 20 mins max even at peak times. The food is definitely better than your corner Chinese restaurants and surprisingly better than some big name restaurants as well. They have a unique take on soy sauce that has a taste that can only help to enhance the Trini style Chinese dishes. The portions are very generous.Their prices even for a restaurant in such a high rent building can compete against corner Restaurants with ease. A relaxing dining experience which will not even bruise your wallet that you...

We made a reservation for our family to have dim sum. I called to confirm my reservation and they were already behaving very confused until they ‘found’ the reservation. Now when we reached the restaurant, I told them my name and the staff looked at each other like ‘oh these are the people’. The manager came to us and said that they’re having an issue with the table and we’d have to wait by the bar. They offered us free complementary drinks but we were with family and grandparents so sitting at the bar was very uncomfortable. The restaurant was absolutely packed so I started picking up that they may have forgotten about our reservation. I approached the manager to understand what was happening. He stated that they had the table ready but a large group came in and insisted that they get a table so THEY GAVE THE TABLE AWAY. The manager gestured to the only large table that was filled with white persons. They were waiting for other persons to finish eat and scampering attempting to get tables together for our large group. We were so appalled by this entire experience, that even when they got the table ready we told them to give to who they want to serve. I spoke to the manager explaining that the expectation when a table is reserved that it isn’t given away to the next big group that comes in. Absolutely atrocious and...

Annie's has maintained its food standard throughout the years. The restaurant underwent a recent expansion and upgrade, introducing a dimsum menu on Sunday. It is unfortunate that the owner's attitude and service standard do not follow the same track. She has shouted at patrons and hung up on phone-in orders when under pressure. We ordered a noodle dish at dim sum. The dish was still not served at the end of our meal. Annie told us the dish would be ready in 10 mins. We were still waiting 45 minutes later. The server was very conscientious and kept checking. The server eventually brought it and suggested that it should be discounted. Annie heard and started shouting at us, the customers, saying that we had the food and there was no need for any discount. She refused to acknowledge the fact that she said 10 mins and the dish took over 45. She grabbed the dish off our table, while continuing to shout at us. The food is good, but it's not worth going because of the bad service and attitude...

It's the first time in over 7 years that I'd gone to Annie's - really because when I first went I was hoping her menu would have had Halal options. Almost a decade later, Annie's still isn't Halal. As surprising as this is, her menu is quite extensive with lots of seafood and vegetarian options- so much that even with these two categories alone, you may find yourself unsure as what to order. Annie herself meets you at the entrance and she is happy to explain anything and accomodate you the best she can. If you're a seafood love I'd recommend the whole steamed and stuffed snapper (with ginger and chives)- refer to my video. The steamed wontons were good but from the rest of the party on our table, her food is usually consistent as it is tasty. Card transactions accepted.

The food is great here but the service is not at all friendly and food usually takes more than 30 minutes to be served. I’ve been having the chicken corn soup for some time now. Last night however the fried wontons were not formed well with not enough shrimp, the steamed were a little stiff and the soup was not well made. Large pieces of egg, dark coloured and not as flavorful as times before. (Perhaps last year a few times).
