I have been to this restaurant three times; the first two times I loved it, this last time I was extremely disappointed. We were sat right next to the kitchen, and I had to ask to move because there was so much noise. We wanted to sit inside because of the heat outside, however the restaurant kept the windows and doors open while we were there, so still very hot. Our server talked to us in a very weird way, to the point I thought something was wrong with him. THE FOOD: I used to be in love with it. This time, we ordered Hummus Beiruti, and they brought us a hummus that was very normal; it still tasted good, but had nothing to do with Hummus Beiruti, so either they don't actually know what it is, or they brought us the wrong dish. We ordered potatoes, which I will say was good, and the bread was good too, however these are such basic items that it would be so bad if they were not. My friend and I ordered Maajouka....it was filled with YELLOW CHEESE AND PEPPERS, and the cheese was obviously low quality cheese that they use in fast food. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MAAJOUKA!!! Completely wrong! How can you claim to be Lebanese when you mess up such a classic dish? I fear this restaurant is already going down, which is a shame because I had several good experiences...
Read morePleasant sunbathing at the indoor area especially paired with the superb view of the lake, Rades bridge, and Jbal Boukernine. Spacious, with a professional but slightly slow service during the lunch rush hour. A very diverse menu. The falafels and the french fries were a bit disappointing , but the mixed grill dish is incredibly good, especially with the yummy rice and the grilled chili and tomato (reminding of the Tunisian slata mechouia). The bread and hummus are also wonderfully succulent and so airy. On average, the dishes are priced at 35 DT. Unfortunately, no time to taste the desserts. I hope for a dessert tasting experience another time. Prepare some coins for the paid parking slots in front of...
Read moreWe went for lunch and were greeted by an infestation of enormous flies and unbearable heat. We had to constantly swat the gigantic flies away to prevent them from landing on our food, adding to the discomfort.
Despite the flies invasion, I managed to eat some of my meal and requested to take the rest away. However, when I opened the takeaway container later that evening, I noticed that half of my leftover portion was missing.
However, given the high prices, this experience was not worth it. The restaurant could have taken measures to eliminate these flies and create a more comfortable dining environment. I've done it once and will never...
