Lemdina — Restaurant in Tunis

It is an excellent choice if you want to enjoy the authentic traditional Tunisian 🇹🇳 experience from the authentic decoration to the authentic food options! Very modern, elegant and chic yet they did respected the authenticity of the Tunisian 🇹🇳culture! They also offer life Andalusian arabesque music 🎶 which I simply loved 😌 I been there only once as a guest of a wedding dinner so I am not sure how the menu works but for sure the restaurant is considered as fine dinning so definitely it is priced accordingly which I assume is not cheap! However they were very very very generous with everything they other us! I simply loved all the appetizers 👌all the 3 different types of salads, the 3 different types of brike, the tajine and all sauces where yummy 😋 I also enjoyed that they offered mint tea after food and both zgougou and a big platers of fruits as a desert however the main course dishes were not that great and zgougou was too sweet, that’s why I am giving only 4 stars not 5! I ate at this restaurant during Ramadan. The entry was good (small pieces of brik , salad , dates ..) They served me “chorba” that was nothing like real chorba ( more like a soup that had meat fat flavor and I didn’t like it at all) As for the main course it was a disaster : I had “ couscous with lamb “ n it was horrible , it smelled badly like it was from 2 days ago I asked to change my dish with barbecued chicken which wasn’t remotely better since it was uncooked and more like raw The service wasn’t great either , I felt pressured to finish my plate as soon as possible like i was in some sort of marathon since the waiter would clear the table without even asking if u re done earing or still , which I really didn’t appreciate. Wonderful atmosphere inside a typically Tunisian design and architecture. Tasty food. There's a menu including soup, 3 kinds of salads and Tunisian hot appetizers as starters. For the main course, there's a large choice between Tunisian dishes like couscous with lamp or fish, rice with hazelnuts, pistachio and beef, etc. For dessert, a cup of tea, fruits and assida (Tunisian desert) Great service and friendly and helpful staff.
