Göksu Lokantaları - Kızılay — Restaurant in Çankaya

We visited this restaurant on a family recommendation, unfortunately it was the biggest mistake we could have made.

On our last night in Ankara my mother wanted a nice fish dish but was served overcooked sea bream with burnt skin, we refused this and sent it back. My mother cooks fish on the fire frequently at our summer home, so she has knowledge of how it should be cooked and presented.

We also ordered 3 mixed grills, 1 was overcooked, the other was ok and the last one was raw, they did not even ask how we wanted our meats cooked.

We wanted beer but 3 out of 4 options were not available, only Tuborg beer was available.

I wanted a green salad, the waiter recommended the Goksu salad and said it was good so I trusted his judgement. The salad that arrived was awful, it looked like a raw cabbage salad with nuts, I immediately asked the waiter to change it because, it did not resemble a green salad and I couldn't eat it. The waiter refused and said they had poured sauce on it, they couldn't take it back, he also said that if I sent it back the management would deduct it from his salary. He continued to keep going back and forth throughout the night reminding me that it wasn't his job to tell me what was in the salad, it was mine.

Because the service was bad and the waiter was argumentative we refused to order desserts and did not want any tea or coffee, we asked for the bill as we just wanted to leave. He brought the bill saying he was doing us a favour and not going to charge for the fish, I replied we were not going to pay for a burnt fish that we didn't eat. We did not eat the salad but we were charged for it, i asked them to put it in a take away box and i gave it to a man in the street.

I wish I could give this restaurant a 0 because it doesn't deserve a higher score. The service was terrible all the waiter wanted to do was argue with us, more than half of the food wasn't up to basic cooking standards, the manager didn't even attempt to speak to us or try to resolve the situation, i believe this was because he didn't have the courage to face me after the bad experience we had.

I definitely would not recommend this restaurant at all, the food is of poor quality and they have no respect for their paying customers. There were plenty of empty tables both inside and outside despite it being a Saturday night, it was very...

Kızılay’ın merkezinde, 1. Sınıf Restoran olarak geçiyor. Ortamı (özellikle bahçesi) ve yemekleri güzel. Menüsü çok çeşitli. Borş çorbası, soğan çorbası, karalahana sarması, Kiev tavuğu, sufle vb. dünya mutfağından meşhur yemekleri sunuyor. Denediklerimi orijinallerine çok uygun bulduğumu söyleyemem. Herhalde ilk burada tadıldı diye meşhur oldu. Ankara’da ilk sufle yapan yermiş örneğin. Portakallı ve çikolatalı suflesini denedim. Dondurma veya krema ile servis ediliyor. Portakallı olanı tekrar almam, çiğ kek yiyormuşum gibi geldi, portakal tadı da yok. Çikolatalısı daha iyi ama abartıldığı kadar değil, ayrıca sunumu bir garip. Çok büyük bir sahanda. Tek tek küçük kaplarda olmalı. Porsiyon oldukça büyük, 3 kişi yedik. Yemekleri de genelde başarılı buldum (Denediklerim: Karalahana sarması, tavuk şiş, şnitzel, Ankara köfte, soğan ve borş çorbası). Cumartesi akşamı eşimle yemeğe geldik. Yemeklerle beraber içecek siparişi verdik ama yemekler geldiği hâlde, iki kere hatırlatmama rağmen içecekler yemeğin sonuna kadar gelmedi.

Yemeğin ardından tatlı siparişi verdik. Siparişten birkaç dakika sonra, tren saatimize yetişmemiz gerektiğini belirterek “Ne zaman gelir?” diye sordum. “Hazırlanmıştır, hemen gelir.” dediler. Aradan 5-10 dakika geçti, tekrar sorduğumda yine geçiştirildim.

Hesabı istedim, getirmediler. Ortalıkta oyalanıp tatlı çıkana kadar beklettiler. Süremiz dolduğu için kasaya gittim. O sırada elinde tatlıyla gelen görevli, tatlıyı boş bir masaya bıraktı, ardından hesabı getirdi.

Şaşırtıcı olan şu ki; iki kez hatırlatmamıza rağmen gelmeyen içeceği ve masada olmadığımız sırada bırakılan tatlıyı hesaba eklemişler. “Tatlıyı neden eklediniz?” dediğimde ise utanmadan “Tatlı çıkmıştı.” cevabını aldım.
