Masabaşı Kebapçısı — Restaurant in Çankaya

I had high expectations for Masabaşı Kebapçısı, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. After leaving a generous 150 TL tip for the waiter, I was shocked when he demanded 350 TL instead. Tipping is meant to be a gesture of appreciation, not a requirement or negotiation. Reluctantly, I agreed to the amount to avoid any awkwardness.

To make matters worse, we agreed that he would bring 2 pieces of baklava for my son as part of the service, but instead, he asked for additional money for it. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

A restaurant should focus on providing quality food and a pleasant experience, not exploiting customers. Tipping and small requests like this should never turn into negotiations or additional charges. While the food may have been decent, the service completely overshadowed the experience. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this...

It is a nice big restaurant and has a nice open atmosphere. If you like thicc cuts of lamb terbiyeli lamb chops are the perfect choice for you, very succulent juicy, and tender.

Tavuk külbastı, was good, not dry, beaten and sauced chicken breast.

Diyarbakır tava, the restaurant advertises it as a little spicy but i didn't feel any spice, would have actually wanted it to be spicy, the lamb meat was juicy again and the mixed spices complimented dish perfectly.

Unfortunately, we found a single strain of hair in the salad.

The mens restroom was cramped, there was a double sink but they were spaced very close to eachother. Nevertheless the toilet was clean and had an automatic seat cover replacer. My friend asked if there was an area to pray but unfortunately there...

I went there for dinner with my family. We ordered 3 different plates - the 3 plates were delicious!! A highly recommended place 😀 The staff are very nice, super welcoming! One of the rare places whith a menu in English. After ordering your main plates, they will bring you mezze (turkish appetizers) to start with. All plates arrived fresh and hot 😁 The taste is excellent 👍 After the food they will get you boiling tea pots 😇

It's a place where you can go with friends, family, a date or even alone!

The whole experience from start to finish is great 🥰

Luckily we didn't have to wait although it was full, yet they managed to find a table for us!

Not sure if this is something you care about, but their toilets...
