Tacofit Bakırköy — Restaurant in Bakırköy

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t come back.

I saw a lot of positive reviews on Instagram and Google Maps, so I decided to visit with my friends, even though it was quite far from where we live. It was 3 PM and there were no other customers but us — which probably should’ve been a sign.

We ordered three student burrito sets, one beef taco, and one chicken taco. We waited in the heat for almost 45-50 minutes, which felt far too long for such simple orders..

But the worst part was when the food finally arrived. The presentation was nice and the burrito size was good, but the taste was a huge disappointment, this is definitely not real Mexican food…not even close. There was no Mexican sauce or flavor at all! The chicken in the burrito felt like frozen supermarket chicken strips, and 60% of the sandwich was just old fried potatoes, even the hot sauce was Turkish-style, if they changed the chicken, this could’ve easily passed for a döner wrap instead of a burrito🤷🏻‍♀️

The tacos were also disappointing, way too much cheddar cheese, making them heavy and overwhelming, the beef was a little bit dry and nothing about it stood out as tasty.

Overall, the food wasn’t exactly bad in flavor, but it had nothing to do with real Mexican cuisine..

I definitely won’t be returning, but to be fair, the portion sizes were generous and the prices were average to slightly...

The tacos were amazing! 😍 So many different ingredients and flavors—it felt fresh and healthy, not like typical fast food. I had the vegetarian taco, and my boyfriend tried the tavuklu quesadilla with guacamole dip, both of which were delicious.

However, the portion size was a bit disappointing. One taco didn’t feel very filling, especially for a bigger appetite. We added fries and drinks to make it a more complete meal.

We opted for takeaway, but if dining in, the outdoor seating seemed like a better choice, as the indoor space didn’t feel...

Good little spot just off the main street. Has seating in and outdoors. Picked up a takeaway. The veg bean burrito, chicken taco, meat taco, and meat quesadilla. Enjoyed all of them thoroughly. Layered well and served nicely with the right ratio of meats, sauce etc and even though I had a takeaway, the tacos remained nice and crispy. Requested spicy and they delivered. Would recommend, it us the nicest and most authentic Mexican/south cuisine I've come across in Istanbul. Polite team. Will be back and add pics of the...
