Da Mario — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

Today was my fourth time at Da Mario in Etiler. I tried lots of dishes in the past six months. You must be really brave to call it an "authentic" Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice, the restaurant is clean, the bathroom though last time it was washed was in 2010. Service is ok, it depends a lot on the day and on the mood of the waiters. Today was a decent day; in fact, we tipped. Food is always average; it just that they don't know how to make Italian food. We had "fresh" tagliolini with a truffle, which probably was 6 years old and inedible, and we told the service and a pizza that was exactly like the Turkish lahmacun, just with different condiments. The restaurant is considered as an old and respectable place in Etiler, so we decided to visit it. The menu was very poor, the prices were incredibly high, the ambience is weird, and, frankly speaking, the place needs renovation.

However, we stayed to try the food in order to give a chance this place. We ordered a salad, and a recommendation from chef meal .. in the end, everything starting from bread, was a full disappointment.

I would strongly recommend management to renovate the restaurant, change the chef and the menu, service has to be educated to do their job in a more professional way.

It is a nice Italian restaurant in Etiler. It has a garden and it is turned to winter garden in winter time. They have protected the trees in the garden which i like the most about this place. Burrata and asparagos can be suggested as appetizer. Then for main dish, taglietelle with burrata and mushroom can be tried. Also pasta with seafood can be tried. Yes food is nice but not very very delicious. For the price, it is just ok. The best part of this place is service and atmosphere i guess.
