Manzara Restaurant — Restaurant in Beşiktaş

We booked our room at the Conrad Hotel including breakfast. When we arrived at the Manzara restaurant this morning, Mr. Fatih said we did not book breakfast and he would charge it. We told him that we paid for breakfast with our booking. He said no again and then said he will call reception. After the call he said we have not booked/paid for breakfast.

After that we went downstairs to the reception where Mr. Muhammed told us, like on the previous day when we checked in, that he looked in the system and that we have breakfast included. So we had to go upstairs to the restaurant again and finally another member of staff confirmed that we could eat breakfast (for which we had paid already!!!). This situation was handled extremely unprofessionally and it was embarrassing for us infront of the other guests. Our appetite for breakfast was gone by this point. I have visited this restaurant for a couple of times- breakfast and lunch. These were totally different experiences, that's why my score is somewhere in the middle.

Breakfast was lovely - plenty of variety, many local food items, and it was very interesting for me as a tourist. Also would like to recognize the beautiful view of the Bosphorus.

And lunch turned out complete disappointment. When we came there were the only couple of tables occupied. Service was slow, not very attentive, the waitress couldn't really explain the dishes (either of lack of English or menu knowledge). It really took time as well until the food arrived and it wasn't tasty. No spices, no salt, no taste. Unfortunately, doesn't worth the money.

I'd really wish management of Manzara do something with this issue, as it looks like they orient only on breakfast and can't maintain the same 5* service during...

The staff (Tolga and his team) of this restaurant are all absolutely amazing. We ate here 6 days in a row while staying at the Conrad, each one of the waitresses got to know us on a personal level and were so friendly and caring towards our kids. The food was cheap and of a high quality. The ice cream is absolutely divine. Will definitely come back to this place on any trip to Istanbul.
