Our visit to Vegan Masa in Istanbul left us absolutely delighted and eager to sing its praises. From the moment we walked in, the quick, friendly, and superlative service from the warm and inviting staff set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
One of the standout features of Vegan Masa is its extensive menu of vegan offerings that beautifully capture the essence of Turkish cuisine. We were spoiled for choice, and it was evident that every dish had been crafted with care to pay homage to the rich culinary traditions of the region.
Our taste buds were in for a treat as we savored the delightful sampler side plate, the delectable Lahmacun, the comforting Rice Pudding, the flavorsome Oyster Mushroom, the mouthwatering Stuffed Meatballs, the soul-warming Yoghurt Soup, and the refreshing Kajran (cashew Ayran). Each dish was a masterpiece in its own right, a symphony of flavors that left us craving for more.
What pleasantly surprised us was that despite the quality and variety of the dishes, the bill for our memorable meal for two came to just ₺650, making it an incredibly affordable dining option considering the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed.
Beyond the delectable food, Vegan Masa offers a warm and hospitable atmosphere that invites diners to linger and savor the experience. It's evident that the restaurant places a premium on creating a welcoming environment that complements its culinary offerings.
Without a doubt, Vegan Masa stands out as one of Istanbul's culinary gems, especially for those with a penchant for plant-based delights. It's not just a restaurant; it's an immersive journey into the heart of Turkish vegan cuisine. In our humble opinion, it's probably the best vegan restaurant in Istanbul, and we can't wait to return for another...
Read moreI visit Vegan Masa every time I’m in Turkey. This place is the best vegan restaurant I have ever visited in my life. My favorite is their minced meat/cheese pide and yoghurt soup. Every non-vegan friend I have taken there tells me they can’t believe the food is vegan. They have mastered the art of veganizing Turkish food. to a point where it’s indistinguishable. The food needs a bit more seasoning (salt, pepper, spice) but they are available at the table. As for desserts, the rice pudding is delicious (wouldn’t recommend the kadayıf as it’s a bit too sugary). Their lahmacun and potato/cheese pide are also on point. The ‘içli köfte’ is the boiled version so not a personal favorite (hope they soon make it fried). The ‘cacık’ is perfect as a refresher. Prices are very fair, proving that vegan diets can be accessible. Kind and fast service. If you are a vegan (or non-vegan) visiting Turkey and want to try traditional flavors, give Vegan Masa a chance—you...
Read moreOne of the best vegan restaurants I have dined at in Istanbul! Really good and tasty vegan lahmacun and pide. The ayran was ok (I think I’m not a fan of ayran in general)
I had the lahmacun (normal size), mince meat pide, cashew ayran, and later on (second visit), I had the mince meat and cheese pide. Everything tasted so delicious. I have met countless of non-vegan Turkish people who even kept raving about this place for its vegan lahmacun, which is a good sign this is the place to go to have vegan lahmacun. Comes with three small "salad" side dishes.
Good service. Menu is QR code. It can get busy, but I never waited too long to get a table during times it seemed...
