Çalış Ocakbaşı Restaurant — Restaurant in Fethiye

We ate here when we visited Çaliș earlier this year. We enjoyed it so much that we made it the first place to eat when we came back this September.

What a disappointment! The service was shocking. We ordered a wine and beer, and these were poured immediately by the bar person. 10 minutes later and our drinks were still sitting on the bar, getting warm and flat. A waiter came to take our food order, and we had to ask for our drinks to be brought to the table.

We ordered one Adana kebab and one cheese meatball dish. My meatball was very tasty. However, the chips that were served with it were cold (not even slightly warm). I told the waitress who told a chef. 10 minutes later, I asked the waitress if new (hot) chips were coming and she said no! Another staff member asked what the problem was and immediately asked the chef to make a portion of fresh chips. These were served hot and fresh, but it was too late as I'd almost finished the rest of the dish.

It wasn't particularly busy when we visited so there was no excuse for the issues we encountered.

Would we go back?...

This place has a new name, something like Sari or Saki…we were seated but not told until much later that they had no electric even though lights were on and food were being served. To cut a very long story short, the kids schnitzel and nuggets were identical dried up, cut up chicken, my dad ordered lamb stew which came out as cubed lamb in a pan of fat and a seperate bowl of cold rice with nothing else and my veggie pizza had less than a quarter green pepper, half a tomato and 1 mushroom which was also not cooked properly. They did offer us a free beer for the wait and they were kind but the waitress could not speak a word of English and confused a lot of things, we asked for the bill 5 times and told cash us better and they did not have several things on their menu. I do hope they turn things around but it was dirty, horrible food and warm drinks, it just isn’t good enough for...

Charged for overcooked food that we sent back and the waiters ate! Avoid this place there are many great dining options in Fethiye.

We ordered 3 meals, fish, Adana kebab and king prawns. Fish and Adana kebab were good. The king prawns were very over cooked and rubbery- we sent it back and we were told they had no more prawns so we asked for another fish. The waiter returned and said he ate the prawns and they were fine. The second fish took 30 minutes to be served (first fish was at our table in 10 minutes). We were shocked when we were charged 750tl for the prawns which was eaten by the staff after we sent it back. To top it off 6 of the staff gathered around and abused us for sending back prawns that they deemed good. How can you charge a customer for food that...
