We chose two mixed vegetable pizzas @ 230tl, two house white wines @120tl and one Efes @90tl = 790tl. Food was plentiful and prepared to a high standard. The wine enjoyable. We found the pizzas to be large (contrary to an earlier reviewer) and one pizza between two of us, a shared salad, beers for the waiting period would have been a better choice to avoid waste and having wine without food. You are invited to take your left-overs home with you. The service was rather slow with very few people dining that night. Dila does, however, do takeaways and home delivery so bare this in mind. We experienced a short black-out; a change of table was needed as we unwittingly seated ourselves in a smoking area before food was served only to find a smoker nearby. A little rain also forced the smoker to be moved inside where smoking is prohibited. Best advice is to book a table inside to avoid smokers and consider the quantity of food being ordered. Soft music (english balads) being played throughout our evening. The main set-back was service. Asking for the price of glass of white wine and a non-smoking area proved to be impossible until we met the owners who sorted out these problems. We were welcomed by a young man who kept asking us for our orders (four times) once when I was absent and had not even seen the menu and immediately after I had just returned from the mens room! This was very frustrating. Part of the fun is chosing from the menu of various pastas and pizzas but we felt pressured to chose quickly. He was also a little too quick to make compliments at my partner's appearance (again I was absent in the mens room) and had no problem with the english language asking how Turkish prices compared to that of UK. The menu needs to include the price of house wines by glass to avoid translation difficulties. I was worried we might end up paying for a bottle as he commence writing notes! Otherwise the menu included many drink options. We visited on account of very positive reviews and we can...
Read moreVisited last night and sadly left disappointed.
We arrived as a group of 13 to a mostly empty restaurant and placed our orders, just mains, no starters. Unfortunately, the food was brought out in a staggered manner over more than an hour. Me and my son pizzas from our order took over an hour to arrive.
The “spicy pepperoni” turned out to be a spiced lamb topping—not unpleasant, but certainly not what was advertised. By the time the food finally arrived, the children had lost their appetite from waiting so long and just wanted to go to bed.
To be fair, the drinks and milkshakes were good, but the food service was incredibly poor. Had the restaurant been even 50% full, the experience could have been a complete disaster.
A real shame, especially in an area with so many other dining options. With service like this, there’s little...
