Megri Lokantası — Restaurant in Fethiye

Our group was hungry so we decided to eat something in the center of fethiye. We found this "restaurant" as they would call it, and we went and looked for seats. The server couldn't speak English well. Nevertheless he showed us our seats. I ordered a banana milkshake. He looked me in the eye and nonchalantly said" iz finish". My bottomless desire for a cold milkshake could not be controlled so I let my anger out on the bacteria beneath my unforgiving fist . It was as if my warcry could be heard across the continent. Anyways, we ordered our food and he came back 10 minutes later, only to say: "u want shish kebab? Iz finish. Outrageous... Abhorrent... Without a choice, we were mercilessly forced to beg for something else. Obviously, we were on the verge of starvation, so we went with the flow and ate whatever. The food was okay, except for the bread that reminded me of a mummy's gritty yet crusty finger. I also ordered dessert, which didn't arrive after what actually was half an hour but seemed like the period of Putins reign. During this time, my brothers went to a nearby shop seeking refuge from this atrocity. After pilgrimming to a nearby store, they arrived with a depressed look on the face as they had to wait another century for me to finish my dessert which also came an era late. To add to this tragedy, a wannabe singer in the nearby pub corrupted my solace and virtue by vibrating her larynx and creating resonance in the air. This devilish soup of physical phenomena then intruded my ear without consent, ravaging my sanity. The only thing holding it, was my hope for a nearby ice cream shop, and the enjoyment I get from writing these reviews. Even though they are exaggerated, my opinion still holds firm.

TLDR: The food is okay, the service is attrocious and the racism is prominent.

Awful service. Slow and very poor. Fajitas arrived without wraps, took 10 minutes to get attention of the waiters so food was cold by the time wraps arrived. Kids portions are tiny for age 5 and under for sure. Ordered doner durum and it arrived with no salad, hard bread and freezing cold chips. Was also told it was beef when we ordered but when it came it was mixed with lamb. I do not eat lamb and left the food. Explained to waiter but still charged full for meal despite it not being touched. Only decent meal was chicken sis but again small portions. Drinks come with out ice. Just a luke warm glass. Another note, they put sliced old bread on the table with nothing to put on it. No butter or acili esme like other restaurants. Over priced for what you get. Go to pasa kebab every time over here- I imagine they get a lot of customers who can’t get in to pasa so make sure you book in advance. Won’t...

Leider eine absolut Enttäuschung! Eigentlich wollten wir eh nicht in der Markthalle bzw. dem touristischen Kern essen gehen, aber da unser Lieblingsrestaurant geschlossen hatte und wir großen Hunger hatten, wollten wir dem Laden eine Chance geben, da der erste Eindruck gut war. Mitten in der Bestellung ging der Kellner einfach, weil ein Bekannter kam. Ein absolutes No-Go!!! Da wollten wir eigentlich schon wieder gehen, aber wir hatten halt echt Hunger. 😄 Als der Kellner dann irgendwann mal wieder kam, bestellten wir Bauernsalat (Çoban Salatası) und Möhrendip (Havuç Tantuni) als Vorspeisen, als Hauptspeisen beide Iskender Kebab. Der Salat wirkte vielversprechend, alles okay. Als dann der Möhrendip kam, wurden wir direkt skeptisch. Er sah sehr seltsam, viel zu dunkel aus. Direkt beim ersten Bissen, bemerkten wir, dass er verdorben war. Wir fragten den Kellner, welche Zutaten er beinhaltet, um uns irgendwie die dunkle Farbe zu erklären. Aber er schmeckte nicht nur verdorben (es prickelte direkt im Mund) sondern auch einfach nicht lecker. Nachdem der Kellner mit panischem Blick selbst probierte, stimmte er uns zu und brachte den Dip weg. Wir freuten uns dann sehr auf die Hauptspeise, der Kellner hatte uns Kebab empfohlen. Leider war mit dem ersten Bissen klar, dass die Enttäuschung nicht abnehmen würde. Das Fleisch war labbrig und viel zu fettig, einfach ungenießbar.
