☠️WORST PUB EVER!!!☠️
The most expensive rip-off place ever!!!
The place is a scam, preying on unsuspecting tourists that wonder in without properly looking at the prices on the menu, and not expecting to be ripped off with a couple drinks. They also word things on the receipt to make it look like they have had a meal, peanuts that should be free do not constitute a meal.
Twice the price of anywhere else in the area. We were told “it’s to be expected in Gocek”, don’t be delusional and greedy, it’s Turkey not the Cotè d’azur! Which would actually be cheaper, to be honest! When we questioned the bill and why it was so expensive, and asked, had they made a mistake, we were told we were being rude! What’s rude is trying to change someone 26€ (plus a service charge) for a rum and coke!! We will never go back and I recommend you avoid it at all cost!
The pub owner claims it’s in the “most luxurious marina in Europe” haha, it’s not even the best marina in Gocek!
Also, a lot of there other reviews are blatantly paid for, or are...
Read moreWe recently visited Sailors Pub and Restaurant in Göcek with some of our crew, expecting the usual reasonable pricing we've known for the past three years. Unfortunately, we were met with shockingly high prices. My rum and coke cost over 25 euros, more than double the price of anywhere else in town.
The total bill for our group of six, where each person had only one drink (three beers, one glass of wine, and two cocktails), came to 3,400 lira, which equates to 92 euros. This is outrageously expensive—far more than you would pay in any high-end European location, including Monaco or Saint-Tropez.
When we raised our concerns with the owner, she was extremely rude and dismissive. The owner’s attitude and the extortionate pricing have left us extremely disappointed.
I would strongly advise anyone in Göcek to avoid this place. They do not deserve any business. I plan to inform everyone I know, including fellow crew members on different yachts, to never visit Sailors Pub...
Read moreTurkey is a wonderful country and the people are hospitable and kind. I was horrified at the pricing at this place. 2725 TL for 5 drinks - 3 of which were non alcoholic. We were given some courtesy peanuts and charged 355TL as a tip. The card machine was not working and so I had to incur more charges by using the cash machine in the marina. Save your money, walk 150metres further down the street and pay a third of the price. I understand that the economy in Turkey is under pressure, inflation is high and that the marina may have a premium but this price level is scandalous. I feel very sorry for the average Turkish person who has to watch this happen, and sadly am unlikely to return. Disgusted to pay more for a non alcoholic beer here than I would in...
