Where do I start ? This is my first time visiting Fetihye. The first restaurant my brother and I went to was Shiraz and our first thought was don't take any risks go for a burger. And we enjoyed it. Our next visit to this lovely restaurant was tonight. (A few days after our first visit) After going to a few restaurants and being soo disappointed with the food and corny staff we visited Shiraz again. This time round my mother joined us to. Now my mum isn't a big eater after 7pm but the way she gobbled up the chicken liver and cheese rolls I would have thought she had the munchies. She finished the plate CLEAN. I order the chicken curry and my brother ordered the grilled meatballs. And we both practically licked the plate clean. The flavour on the meatballs was like my grandma from Adana cooked it, and the curry felt like I was having a chicken curry cooked by Indian restaurant in London. I forgot to mention the mojitos. Ahhh everywhere I go I try a mojito and 80% of the time I am disappointed. The barman here used fresh mint leaves, lime, BROWN sugar over CRUSHED ice (I emphasise crushed and brown sugar coz everywhere in turkey uses cubed ice and syrup for sugar). It genuinely felt like having a mojito at cocktail bar in West London. It's safe to say this restaurant redeemed fetihye's restaurant game for me. I will be back again and 100% recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to have a great decently...

When asked to recommend an eatery, my normal reaction is to politely decline or tentatively suggest 'the last time I was there it was alright'. A kind of 'get out jail free card' if your choice falls flat and you're friends wonder if you've actually eaten decent food before. So given the time of year (February) and with mild trepidation I volunteered a place that happened to be within walking distance. The night we booked (that itself a clear indication of the popularity) was 'Pie night' and Shiraz didnt disappoint. Truly wonderful cuisine and attentive service that was just right. Nothing over the top. No pomp and thrills that hide the awful truth... just decent food. As for my friends reaction? In a nut shell, they loved it. And after spending the best part of four hours recanting the good old days and looking round discovering you're the last to leave i realised so did...
Read moreSuat and Chetin are on top of their game! The service was impeccable and the food was excellent too. We went back to Shiraz a few times and it was excellent every time. I tried a variety of items of the menu and it is hard to pick a favourite. I am not a sweet tooth but I do like a Baclava - I have to admit that Suat served me the best Baclava I have ever had!
Suat and his team were very accommodating with our requirements and made an effort to make every meal special. It was clear from the people around us that everybody were returning customers for good reason.
Well done Suat - we will be...
