Tacoroll — Restaurant in Kadıköy

This place is overrated and no more than mediocre. Here is why?

I have seen a lot of ads and comments praising this place on instagram, so I said I have to check it out! I came all the way from the other side of the town, at a glance it looked cosy and authentic, hence we seated a table on the corner, and the restaurant was fairly crowded for an early sunday afternoon, giving the sensation that they really have a great food.

However, this wasn’t the case. On the contrary, we were disappointed by “uber chicken and uber tiftik menu” and the blatant young waiter. Firstly, there was only little meat and it was cold, with plenty of lettuce with pink sauce? It wasn’t balanced and musty tiftik taco left a trail of cardboard… On top of these, I found a hair in my macaroni salad, and showed it to the waiter, his comments was “Oh, I see.” And he took my plate, never say or give anything in return. What a service uh?

Therefore, I felt compelled to write a few things about this place. If you have never tried real taco before, this simple & basic place offers mediocre food, which is evidently less satisfactory in taste and more expensive...

📌Tiftik Taquito lezzetli, gerçekten tacoların içinde en iyi olanı bence, üzerinde servis ettikleri soslarla gayet güzeldi. Tiftik taco ve diğer tacolarda ki en büyük problem altta kalan marullu kısmı çok yavan ve kuru bir tat bırakıyor damağınızda.

📌Yanında gelen soslu makarnanın ne olduğunu çözemedim.

📌Tacoları beklerken ikram edilen soğuk İspanyol çorbası Gazpacho benim damak tadıma hiç bir zaman uymadığı için beğenmedim.

📌Soslar eşliğinde ikram olarak gelen tacolar gayet güzeldi. Çok aç gitmiş iseniz en azından beklerken sizi oyalıyor ve biraz olsun açlığınızı bastırıyor.

📌Karidesli tacosunda sanırım 2 yada 3 adet Karides vardı, pek memnun edici bulmadım.

📌 Tavuklu Nachos lezzetli, acısı şahane. Ama onda da tavuk mu et mi tadından anlayamadık, verdiğimiz siparişi sormak zorunda kaldık.

📌 Etli Burrito fena değildi.

📌Genel olarak işletmede lezzet problemi var. Ne yediğinizi, tadını tam alamadığınız için anlamıyorsunuz.

📌İşletmenin en güzel yanı güleryüzle çalışan, ilgili ve sempatik çalışanları aslında. Hepsi pırıl pırıl gençler

📌İçerisi çok küçük olduğu için, dış mekanda oturmayı tercih ettik aman soğuk havalar da oturmak mümkün olmaz sanırım.

📌Otopark ciddi bir problem. Ckm otoparkına bırakıp yürüyerek 3 dk gidebilirsiniz.

📌Fiyat performansı yediğiniz lezzetlere göre bir tık fazla.

This restaurant is a nice surprise in a narrow street.

Environment is friendly, well decorated. Utensils to cups, you can sense quality and detail oriented approach.

We ordered, burrito and Crunchwrap. Both were quality satisfying. We were impressed by the side sauces brought with nachos.

Limeade was not as fresh and nice as the name refers. You barely can taste the lime but it may be because of the quality of lime in Turkey. Usually they are quite flavourless.

Prices was reasonable, costed us 280 (11th...
