Burrito Shop — Restaurant in Kadıköy

I really regret not taking a picture of my “Large” burrito that i finished in two bites in less than 3minutes. So basically, i ordered carne Gustavo, i just asked them not to put beans. When i asked if that was really the large size they said yes it looks little because you removed ingredients (the beans only). I paid 70₺ extra for the large size. There is no flavor in the burrito, Mexican food is very flavored, the one i had has absolutely no flavor. it was super tiny. I wonder how little the regular one is. The rice was a bit hard. I know that rice for burrito should not be very cooked, but their rice had not reached the “cooked” stage. I tried it two years ago and it was so much better, that’s why i went again, but now, i will never ever go there again and waste my money. Two large sandwiches cost me 600₺ and i swear i left the restaurant super hungry and went to eat...

Here’s the thing, the burrito taste fine, which is pretty hard to mess up. But here’s a few things that really bothered me. I saw them take frozen fries (potatoes) our of a large bag and then boil them...meaning they clearly order large quantities of pre-cut frozen fries which is a major turn off. The fact that they can’t even cut and make their own fries-really disgusts me. Clearly just trying to produce the cheapest product possible and not caring about customers...maybe I’m being extreme, and I get it, the guys trying to make some coin, but come on and have some damn pride in your ingredients. Also, my burrito did not come with guacamole even though it says it included guacamole on the menu. Dynamite hot...

The service was a bit iffy but the food came out really good. The special burrito’s meat was the slightest bit bland but was significantly compensated for by the remainder of the contents. The sauces came in very tiny portions but were very good nonetheless. The pollo ultimate chicken burrito was fantastic and the nachos were great. There aren’t many options around Istanbul for Mexican food which is a shame but in the grand scheme of available choices this is the best one I had thus far. I would recommend stopping by if you’re...
