I’ve lived in this neighborhood since my childhood, so I know this place has always been mediocre. Today the weather was nice, so I decided to take my girlfriend here for the venue—nothing else. I knew the food would be mediocre. To my surprise, I saw Michelin logos for 2023, 2024, and 2025. That really shocked me, because the food has always been at or below average.

Anyway, we ordered our entrées and drinks: 35 cl rakı, white cheese, melon, grilled red peppers drizzled with olive oil, tomato salad with onions soaked in salt, and uskumru. The waiter, from the outskirts of Turkey and with no serving experience, first brought the uskumru—a red flag from the start. I asked him to take it back and serve the white cheese and melon first. He looked at me as if I were making an odd request. I brushed it off, excusing his illiteracy, which is unfortunately common in many restaurants in Turkey (though unacceptable in my view).

Moving on, I had asked the waiter if the melon was fresh, and he said it was tasty. The melon actually tasted like glue, which often means it isn’t fresh. The grilled red peppers had soaked in vinegar so long they were literally inedible. I called the waiter and told him we wanted to return the red peppers and the uskumru. He frowned but took them back.

Не советую посещать заведения использующие мошеннические приемы для завлечения клиентов и необоснованно раздувающие цены. Испортили День рождения. Забронировал столик у воды. Когда пришел, предложили в центре зала. Я же бронировал у воды. Да, но там надо было бронировать за два дня, говорят. Менять заведение, когда уже гости подъезжают не будешь. Дали меню: цен на основные блюда нет. Говорят, зависят от сезона и от цены продукции. После настойчивых просьб сообщить сколько в итоге будут стоить блюда, оказалось, что все по 400 лир. Это минимум в два раза дороже аналогичных блюд в Стамбуле. А гарнир будет? Конечно будет... Принесли на тарелке дольку помидора и половинку полусгнившей мелкой картошки. Заказали свежевыжатый сок. Сначала забыли его принести, Потом подали, в самом конце. Оставаться на десерт желания не было. Попросили счет. Добавлено 10% за обслуживание. Ну ладно чаевые не получат. Однако еще по 50 лир с человека за сервировку: стакан воды, кусочек хлеба и скатерть. Mevsime ve ürünlerin fiyatına bağlı olduklarını söylüyorlar. Israrcı taleplerin sonunda yemeğin ne kadarına mal olacağını bildirdikten sonra, her şeyin 400 lira olduğu ortaya çıktı. Bu, İstanbul'da benzer yemeklerden en az iki kat daha pahalıdır. Garnitür var mı? Tabii ki olacak... Tabağa bir dilim domates ve yarı çürümüş küçük patateslerin yarısını getirdiler. After insistent requests to tell how much the dishes will cost in the end, it turned out that everything is 400 lire. This is at least twice as expensive as similar dishes in Istanbul. Will there be a side dish? Of course it will... They brought a slice of tomato and a half of half-rotted small potatoes on a plate. We ordered freshly squeezed juice. At first they forgot to bring it, Then they served it, at the very end. There was no desire to stay for dessert. They asked for an invoice. Added 10% for maintenance. Well, they won't get a tip. However, another 50 lire per person per serving: a glass of water, a piece of bread and a tablecloth. I probably should have taken the tablecloth with me :-) In...

Do not eat here, the manager and server (Ali) will try and scam you in your bill and charge you for items that were brought to the table on the servers accord. Ordered one calamari appetizer as a snack. The server (ali) brought bread, chopped lemons and water to the table, this was not requested by our party. When the bill came Ali had decided to charge us 3x what the calamari appetizer cost is displayed on the menu, stating that “there are three of you so we charge more”. When questioned about the bread, lemons and water he said “this is a restaurant and do not make a scene for our other customers”. Ali continued to argue with us saying that he will have that money taken out of his paycheck etc. this isn’t our fault or our issue. He remained hostile and argumentative. Avoid this restaurant. What should have cost us roughly $10 became almost $35, they upcharged on small items that the customer didn’t order neither should they have to pay for if the house brings it. It’s clear that they are scamming their customers. Not Michelin worthy...

I rarely write negative comments, but please listen to me. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU’RE A TRAVELER. When I got here, for some reason the guy in the front told me it is full and it is reservation only. Then I walked in to inquire the reservation time, it is half empty. The manager took me immediately. After I before I completed the food, they took the dish away like the server were rushing me. Then I took the bill, which their machine is disconnected and unable to read my card. The server started to blame me and toss my card around underlining I don’t have enough money in my card. After arguing for 10 minutes, they finally tried again in another machine, which worked this time. I am not sure why they’re treating me this way, perhaps because I don’t speak Turkish, I have a backpacker’s outfit, or I have a darker skin. In short, didn’t worth the price and the prejudice you got. Don’t come if you’re traveling here with no suit on or if you’re not white.

One thing I noticed during our meal was that the waitstaff seemed to pay more attention to tables that ordered alcoholic drinks. When we requested tea, it seemed like we weren't a top priority, possibly because tea is complimentary. It would be great if they could ensure consistent attention to all diners, regardless of their beverage choices. Overall, the experience was okay, but I was hoping for a bit more from the food and service.
