One afternoon on 21/01/25 I visited this Nigerian restaurant with two other people. We ordered different meals. I went for something different because I wanted to try Nigerian food which was egusi and pounded yam. However, something was off with the food, the taste was awful and I didn’t enjoy it at all. I also noted that there were no customers during that time. Within one hour after leaving the restaurant, I began feeling poorly ( nausea, and stomach cramps). By the I arrived home in the evening, I was very ill, and by the night, I developed high temperature (fever), diarrhoea and serious stomach aches and vomiting. I lost appetite and I wasn’t able to eat at all and I couldn’t sleep in the night. This was serious food poisoning which lasted 4 days. It was an awful experience, and it robbed me off my 4 days of my holidays in Uganda. I had to undergo treatment before I recovered. The trauma left me frightened to eat at the restaurants.
