Unfortunately the staff is unprofessional and It's hard to say it, but so disrespectful as well. I came in with my friend to have something to drink. We wanted the table in the front side, one of the staff told us it is already reserved then in FRONT OF US, he kept whispering with his colleagues where to seat us which they ended up seating us on a table on the back side in an unpleasant area of the café. The waiter came in to take our order, when we placed our order which was 2 drinks, in a shocked voice tone with surprised facial expressions he said "THAT'S IT? And then again after a while he whispered to his colleague's ear while the menu being in his hand and POINTED AT US. Finally, we paid for our drinks and left the place. Where should I start from? First of all, if the table is reserved, that's totally fine but if they were profesional enough, they would just appologize politely and discuss it among themselves away instead of whispering in front of us as if we're reserving a table for free. Second, A customer can order whatever he wants to, for that waiter who was surprised by the order, excuse me?? Are you willing to pay for a meal if we ordered it?? If not, keep it professional, do your job and mind your own business. Excuse me, did you even go to a hospitality school to be fit for your role? I really want to know who is responsible for hiring you. Lastly, it was a negative experience let alone that they work in the industry and they should keep it professional let alone It's a reputable café LET ALONE IT WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE IN THE CAFÉ AND I'M NOT SURE IF I WILL REPEAT IT OR NOT. One last point, hospitality is a great industry, but you don't have to study it to have some ethics and good manners speaking of which, I regret to inform you your team failed to have those ethics and manners in their business...
Read moreI am very disappointed of their hospitality! My husband and I were driving towards Marina Mirage Cafe & Restaurant and we saw Em Sherif Cafe and decided to try it for the first time. We went out initially for a quick coffee. We reach there and the place is quite big with lots of empty tables. Due to the fact that there was a singer, we wanted to sit a bit far however, the waiter forced us to sit close and in a specific table. Whenever we asked him for another table he would say it’s reserved for hen the cafe was more or less empty since it’s Sunday.
When we ordered Coffee the waiter was upset as he was expecting us to order dinner.. his behavior changed and it was disrespectful. They underestimate their clients and look down at them.
I will be going back to raise my concern to their manager because it is NOT acceptable to whatsoever.
The waiter who brought us the bill was so RUDE as he raised the bill to my husband’s face and was starring at me with a dirty & insisting look.
The management should sincerely consider working on their staff’s attitude and behavior as this could impact on...
Read moreDisappointing experience.
We were warmly greeted at the entrance by two people who appeared to be the receptionist and manager, and the overall ambience of the place was quite nice.
Unfortunately, this energy stopped with the service at our table. Our main waiter had a noticeably unwelcoming attitude, which made us feel uncomfortable throughout. When we asked a couple of basic questions about the dishes, his only response was, “it’s Arabic, it’s Arabic, it’s all Arabic”which was quite dismissive and unhelpful.
We’re well aware the cuisine is Arabic, that’s exactly why we came. My family and I genuinely enjoy Lebanese food, and my mother had actually dined here before and had a good experience. Unfortunately this visit didn’t live up to that.
To be fair, the food arrived quickly and we didn’t have to wait long. However, most of the dishes were quite average, and a few didn’t taste particularly fresh. Not to mention a little overpriced.
Hard to say whether the overall disappointment was due to the food itself or the cold service. Either way, not a place we’d be keen...
