This hotel was the worst experience of all the Radissons we have visited.
The good: the staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. One Russian-speaking lady at the reception seemed to be rather unfriendly with us. However, her colleagues Rozene and Tim were really nice and helped in changing our room and letting us check out a bit later on the day of our departure.
The breakfasts are quite tasty, although in our 5 day stay we saw little to no variation in the dishes, but we always found something to our taste. The facilities of the hotel are mostly clean and pleasant in general. There are a lot of different lighting options in the room which I always appreciate.
The bad: the photos of the rooms are very different from the reality. Rooms are really run-down. The first room we checked in wasn’t properly cleaned, there were hairs and crumbles on the floor and the wardrobe door was broken; additionally, it was a room fitted for the disabled (no shower wall, railings around the toilet) , why would the hotel give it to someone who doesn’t need it? The second room we got suffered a flood and no one cared to repair the walls and the floor after it (see the photos attached). I think this is unacceptable in a 5 star hotel. However, I didn’t want to waste any more time of my short holiday on complaining to the reception and changing the room again, so we stayed there. It was a mistake because it turned out to have even more problems. The air conditioner was very loud, it was hard to sleep without earplugs and it was impossible to have video calls while it was on. Also, there was a green light of the fire alarm that for some reason would start to flicker bright and wake us up in the middle of the night. There were no bathrobes or slippers in the room, so we had to ask for them twice (and only got 1 bathrobe). There’s no place to dry your swimwear in the room so it’ll be damp throughout your stay.
The spa: the sauna doesn’t stay hot because of the gap in the door. The steam sauna was broken and closed during our stay.
The swimming facilities: the working hours of the swimming pool and the beach are ridiculous. The sunrise is at 6:00am and the city immediately gets hot, but the swimming pool opens only at 8:00am and the beach at 9:00am, when the sun is already strong! I wanted to get up and swim earlier than that but I couldn’t. In the evening the beach closes at 6:30pm at sunset and the pool as early as 8:00pm. The seabed on the beach is slimy and filled with sharp stones, so swimming in the sea isn’t a pleasant experience at all.
Another detail that gave a bad impression: one day the swimming pool staff decided to clean the sun beds with a Kärcher device and, to my bewilderment, they did it during the working hours of the pool and the clouds of dirty spray would end up on people’s heads swimming right there in the pool.
This all made our stay far worse than expected. Sadly, Radisson blu, I’m going to avoid your hotels in the future because this is not the kind of holiday I want...

Cons: 1)Lack of prior communication regarding the closure of the beach, adult pool, and zipline detracted from the overall experience. 2)The compensation offered for the inconvenience seemed inadequate considering the extent of the closures, leading to dissatisfaction among guests. 3)Monotonous breakfast options, with little variation from day to day, may leave guests craving more variety. 4)While the food quality is acceptable, the variety and richness of options during breakfast and dinner could be improved. 5)Overcrowding during breakfast hours, coupled with limited seating availability, can lead to delays and inconvenience for guests. 6)The temperature of the water in the adult pool was uncomfortably warm, particularly during hot weather, impacting the enjoyment of the pool facilities. 7) The condition of the umbrellas on the beach and pools is subpar, with many showing signs of wear and tear, detracting from the aesthetics and functionality of the beach, pools areas. 8) Misrepresentation of amenities through misleading images of beach beds on the beach and by the pool can lead to disappointment among guests upon discovering the actual limited availability of beach beds compared to what...
Read moreOur Favorite Stay in Abu Dhabi – Radisson Blu Corniche
We’ve been visiting the Radisson Blu Hotel & Resort on the Corniche in Abu Dhabi for quite some time now – and it has become our absolute favorite hotel in the city. We return regularly, and every stay feels like coming home.
The staff are always exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and professional. Whether it’s the reception, housekeeping, restaurant, or pool staff – everyone is attentive and genuinely caring. It’s clear that hospitality is taken seriously here, and that’s what makes each stay so comfortable and enjoyable.
A real highlight for us is the West Bay Lounge, located right across the street on the beach. It’s a fantastic spot – beautifully designed, laid-back, and perfect for both daytime relaxation and evening cocktails. The cocktails are excellent, the food is consistently great, and the team there is incredibly friendly and service-oriented. You immediately feel well looked after.
The pool area of the hotel is another favorite – spacious, clean, and relaxing. A small suggestion: the music by the pool could be a bit more up-to-date and varied, maybe more modern house music during the day to enhance the vibe.
In the evenings, the West Bay Lounge hosts live music, which is always a nice touch. The singer is very talented, but over time we noticed the songs tend to stay the same night after night. A bit more variety in the setlist would be appreciated – just to keep things fresh for returning guests.
One small observation from our latest visit: the bartenders at the pool bar have changed recently. While still polite and professional, they seemed a bit less attentive compared to the previous team. That might just be because we had gotten to know the former team quite well, and there was a personal connection. Sometimes, familiarity adds a special touch.
Overall: Radisson Blu Corniche is a place we hold close to our hearts. It’s not just a hotel – it’s a home away from home, with great service, fantastic food, and warm, welcoming people. We’ll definitely keep coming back and can highly recommend it to anyone...
