We did a brunch for a birthday party. It had a been organised weeks in advance, with regular contact with the staff to ensure everything was in place as it was a big group and we wanted everything to go smoothly. 2 days before the event we received a phone call and West Bay told us that they were changing the food from a buffet to a set menu and assured us that it would not affect the alcohol package. This was very disappointing considering we had been in regular contact with them for 3 weeks in advance and had not mentioned this before. They told us that we would pay 299aed and we would still get unlimited alcohol.

When we arrived no one took our drinks order for almost 30 minutes. It was only a 3 hour brunch and some of us didn't get our drinks for over an hour. Many of us complained to the staff saying that the service on the drinks was too slow. The manager was extremely rude when we spoke to him and he argued that we had never said that we had organised a brunch including drinks which was completely untrue. It was specifically made clear that the birthday was going to be a drinks brunch.

The brunch came to an end with some people drinks completely forgotten, constant reminders on drinks orders and arguments with the manager over service on drinks. Due to awful service we asked if they could extend the brunch by an hour as many of us did not receive a drink during that first hour. The manager agreed to this only for him to completely go against what he said and claim that they had already taken last orders and would not honour the extension of the the brunch. The bar man then abandoned his station and there was no one manning the bar. It was an absolute disaster. The entire event was completely mismanaged

We were then moved outside because the area was needed for an Iftar event. We were told that we would receive our last order of drinks if we moved outside, which we agreed. Once we moved outside they took our order and promised that they would bring us our drinks. Unsurprisingly we were completely forgotten about and did not receive our drinks. We had to go back inside and remind them again they we had not received our drinks.

I am massively disappointed as the venue is beautiful and had a nice atmosphere but the event was completely mismanaged. We did everything we could in ensuring the event went smoothly and West Bay completely let us down. We did not get our money's worth. We will never be back. It was a...

Excellent Friday brunch on the beach, outside with great views. We have been to many brunches in our 8 years living here so can really speak from experience. We were fortunate enough to be part of a group which had won a free brunch and we had exceptional service. Staff were very friendly, smiled all the time, were chatty and nothing was too much trouble

The cost was excellent as we didn't pay, however, I believe the alcohol package, which is what we would always opt for is 500 plus AEDs each. We usually like to get a buy one get one free, but I don't think there are any offers on for this brunch.

The food was probably least impressive part of this brunch, but was very good. A set menu bought and served at the table. A great variety and mostly cooked to perfection. The Octopus was fabulous but the squid was undercooked. There was a good selection of food something for everyone, including fish and chips and great ice lolly / cream desserts.

The Drinks on the house beverage package were the best. I am not big on cocktails but every single one I had was divine. I loved the espresso martinis in particular. The prosecco and wine was good quality for a brunch and our glasses were never empty. All the drinks were served in the appropriate glasses, which is very important to me .

The Service was excellent. Someone was on hand at every possible moment. I would like to think if we went back it would be the same and not just fabulous because we would be writing reviews.

The view and location are the best, the seats are super comfortable.

The tables were clean, maybe a little low for our food, but as a party of four it really worked.

There was entertainment. A lovely singer who sang covers so well I thought it was the real singers. The music was not too loud too, so we could hear eachother speak. Well done, West Bay, it is hard to get that just right but you did.

Overall I would definitely recommend this brunch if you can afford it. As regular brunches we won't be going back unless there is a buy one get one free deal.
