It was a lovely night and setup upon arrival. The place was beautiful and the Ramadan vibe was incredible.
I appreciate the manager's thoughtfulness by providing us a seat outdoors, as our reservation online didn't state seating arrangements.
However, I wish the lady hostess would have better explained to us that we had a seat inside already booked and set up for us, because we thought we can choose where to sit when we booked a reservation online, as the confirmation booking on email wasn't clear about the seating arrangement.
As we sat outdoors, our table was not set up at all. The waiters saw us sitting, yet they failed to set up the table for us. After we spoke up, they set it up but not completely.
Our food was late and the waiter was confused and forgot that we had ordered already when he asked us for our order twice.
We enjoyed the menu, but we recommend the flavours in most food be reviewed as all our orders were under-seasoned and needed more spices.
After paying, I felt the need to share my feedback with the hostess outside who assigns customers to their seats, but she was speaking to me in a very condescending way by saying "you had a table set up inside but because you chose to sit outdoors a table was provided because I respect you". I wanted to state that respecting me is not an option table in or outdoors. Her response was vague and not convincing as she didn't explain the seating arrangement beforehand and didn't accept our feedback well.
We saw the waiters serving Arabic coffee to some only and ignoring other tables, which was annoying.
I was very disappointed with my experience as their service did not match their vibe.
We paid for our reservation, yet we were treated like last...
Read moreAs much as I want to like this place, it's a big NOPE for me. I love the location as it is conveniently located at Umm al Emarat Park, and the decoration is nice but the food is a no-go as per our past 2 experiences. We tried Parker's for dinner a couple of weeks ago as we were in the area, and for breakfast yesterday with our toddler and were not impressed at all by the food.
For dinner, we had the chicken strips as well as burgers and fries and everything was just so heavy we could barely finish our plates. The crowd was mainly teenagers who certainly had more stamina to take on fatty food than 35+ year old hubby and I. We thought we'd give it a shot for breakfast as the waiter said the place is busier in the morning and people seem to enjoy the morning menu more. For late breakfast, we had the club sandwich, benedict croissant and were very surprised to see the place doesnt even have a kid's menu although located in a family park! The waitress said kids usually eat scrambled egg and cheese sliders with chips, so we reluctantly ordered it for our 3 year old who never had fast food or any meal without greens or fruits. We didn't enjoy the meal. Everything on the menu looks so 'instagrammable', but it's just so heavy to digest and/or tastes average.
Not recommended, I'd rather have my cheat day...
Read moreIt was our first time in Parker’s in about a year or so give or take. We have been to Parker’s 10+ times over the years living in Abu Dhabi, always for breakfast when feeling indulgent.
Today we went back to try some of our old favorites, breakfast sliders for me, my wife usually gets the Mac and cheese sandwich(removed from the new menu unfortunately). Wife went with the new potato Lyonnaise and we split a strawberry’s and cream French toast.
Breakfast sliders struggle to give it at 7 out of 10 - going 6.9 - it just didn’t taste the same as before , felt like there was less eggs - also it was served to me without my wife’s food so I had to wait for 5+ minutes for hers to be served.
Potato Lyonnaise- tonnes of potatoes, 1 egg . It’s a 6.8 , no USP here or pageantry you’d associate with Parker’s from previous visits.
Strawberry’s and Cream French toast - 7.0 , the strawberry’s were the nicest part of this dish , plus side the portion size was perfect.
Overall - service was not good , due to the wait as mentioned . I’m nit picking here , but I suggest you buy some milk jugs - see photo , milk served in a cup. Parker’s I felt had changed when I last visited , we went back in the hope of a return to what it was - it let us down further...
