Iâve lived in Dubai for over a decade, and I can honestly say this was one of the worst hospitality experiences Iâve ever had. I had heard the hype about Lune Lounge and decided to give it a try, but from start to finish, it was a complete disappointment.
I first ordered a salad that was unavailable. The staff suggested a burrata salad, which I accepted. I simply asked for a side of bread to go with the burrata â and even offered to pay extra. Strangely, I was told no, because bread is only served with other dishes. This explanation made no sense, especially when baguette and sourdough were clearly available.
I asked for a truffle risotto or pasta. They told me truffle was out of stock â fair enough. But when I requested the same dish without truffle (just mushroom), I was told it was impossible. Minutes later, I was offered chicken mushroom pasta, which is basically the same dish but with an added protein I didnât want. The contradiction was beyond frustrating.
The service was chaotic: âą My starter and main course arrived at the same time, despite me asking to have them served separately. âą When I requested olive oil and balsamic (basic essentials for a burrata salad), I was laughed at. âą The waiterâs attitude was dismissive and disrespectful â at times even laughing in my face.
Most of the staff struggled with English, which made communication even harder. Meanwhile, a dozen staff members were either standing around or moving aimlessly. The lack of coordination was shocking for such a hyped-up place.
I ended up walking away but still paying for a starter, main, dessert, juice, and water â most of which I didnât even touch. I wasnât asking for a favor or a freebie; I simply wanted decent service and basic respect as a customer. Instead, I walked away completely disappointedâŠ
I spent 1hr there and left hungry. I walked in there at 22:30 now itâs 00:20 and Iâm waiting for my food delivery at home from an other venue if i only i would have not bothered to go there in...
Read moreIâm very disappointed as a regular customer who used to appreciate the service and the atmosphere. But unfortunately things had to come to a bad end. I went for a coffee at the evening and to work a little bit with my pc so far everything was fine. I left my stuff on the table in order to go to the washroom. Once I put a step on the stairs they came to me with my pc while I still wasnât finished. They told me as an excuse âwe needed to give ur table to someone elseâ. While they were many free tables ? Ok at that moment I decided to leave I felt not welcomed at all and got even offended. Few days later I decided to go back to the coffee shop, the woman who checks if there are any tables free at the rooftop named âJuicyâ, welcomed us and told us sorry but I cannot give a table for you. I asked her why ? She said Iâm sorry but I really canât give you. So she brought me the manager âRomeoâ to explain for more details because we really got confused. The main reason is apparently that Iâm attracting a lot of men in the coffee shop. Which is very disappointing to hear that, because all I do is just come to drink some coffee do some meetings with my friend and donât pay attention to any one. Itâs very heartbreaking to experience this kind of moments because I didnât do anything wrong. Iâm fully covered I respect everyone. And sometimes I see shameful sceneâs happening in the coffee but still I cover my eyes and donât talk. I really got disgusted by the treatment I got, I never got from any one before. This is a very bad image for the coffee shop. Iâm just speechless, because I see some women sometimes not fully covered and showing some skin and attracting men and me who truly didnât do anything and was appropriately dressed. Got the worst...
Read moreTucked away in the stylish Al Wasl district, Lune CafĂ© offers a delightful escape for those seeking calm surroundings paired with thoughtfully prepared food and drink. On my recent visit, I had the opportunity to enjoy the cafĂ©âs relaxed charm and was impressed by the overall experience.
The atmosphere at Lune CafĂ© is serene yet modern, with minimalist interiors, soft lighting, and well-curated dĂ©cor that create a tranquil setting â ideal for both quiet conversations and solo visits. The ambiance earns a solid 4/5, striking a fine balance between cozy and contemporary.
I ordered the Grilled Wings Platter, which came perfectly seasoned, smoky, and tender â a great pick for those who appreciate depth of flavor in simple dishes. The Half Kilo Mixed Grill Platter followed, offering a variety of meats that were well-cooked and satisfying. While not the most adventurous of dishes, they delivered on quality and portion, deserving a respectable 4/5 for food.
To accompany the meal, I had their Lemon & Mint drink, which was bright, crisp, and incredibly refreshing â the perfect complement to the heavier grilled items.
Where Lune Café truly shines is in its service, which I would confidently rate 5/5. Staff were prompt, friendly, and attentive throughout, making the experience smooth and welcoming without being intrusive.
