I’ve lived in Dubai for over a decade, and I can honestly say this was one of the worst hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. I had heard the hype about Lune Lounge and decided to give it a try, but from start to finish, it was a complete disappointment.

I first ordered a salad that was unavailable. The staff suggested a burrata salad, which I accepted. I simply asked for a side of bread to go with the burrata — and even offered to pay extra. Strangely, I was told no, because bread is only served with other dishes. This explanation made no sense, especially when baguette and sourdough were clearly available.

I asked for a truffle risotto or pasta. They told me truffle was out of stock — fair enough. But when I requested the same dish without truffle (just mushroom), I was told it was impossible. Minutes later, I was offered chicken mushroom pasta, which is basically the same dish but with an added protein I didn’t want. The contradiction was beyond frustrating.

The service was chaotic: ‱ My starter and main course arrived at the same time, despite me asking to have them served separately. ‱ When I requested olive oil and balsamic (basic essentials for a burrata salad), I was laughed at. ‱ The waiter’s attitude was dismissive and disrespectful — at times even laughing in my face.

Most of the staff struggled with English, which made communication even harder. Meanwhile, a dozen staff members were either standing around or moving aimlessly. The lack of coordination was shocking for such a hyped-up place.

I ended up walking away but still paying for a starter, main, dessert, juice, and water — most of which I didn’t even touch. I wasn’t asking for a favor or a freebie; I simply wanted decent service and basic respect as a customer. Instead, I walked away completely disappointed

I spent 1hr there and left hungry. I walked in there at 22:30 now it’s 00:20 and I’m waiting for my food delivery at home from an other venue if i only i would have not bothered to go there in...

I’m very disappointed as a regular customer who used to appreciate the service and the atmosphere. But unfortunately things had to come to a bad end. I went for a coffee at the evening and to work a little bit with my pc so far everything was fine. I left my stuff on the table in order to go to the washroom. Once I put a step on the stairs they came to me with my pc while I still wasn’t finished. They told me as an excuse “we needed to give ur table to someone else”. While they were many free tables ? Ok at that moment I decided to leave I felt not welcomed at all and got even offended. Few days later I decided to go back to the coffee shop, the woman who checks if there are any tables free at the rooftop named “Juicy”, welcomed us and told us sorry but I cannot give a table for you. I asked her why ? She said I’m sorry but I really can’t give you. So she brought me the manager “Romeo” to explain for more details because we really got confused. The main reason is apparently that I’m attracting a lot of men in the coffee shop. Which is very disappointing to hear that, because all I do is just come to drink some coffee do some meetings with my friend and don’t pay attention to any one. It’s very heartbreaking to experience this kind of moments because I didn’t do anything wrong. I’m fully covered I respect everyone. And sometimes I see shameful scene’s happening in the coffee but still I cover my eyes and don’t talk. I really got disgusted by the treatment I got, I never got from any one before. This is a very bad image for the coffee shop. I’m just speechless, because I see some women sometimes not fully covered and showing some skin and attracting men and me who truly didn’t do anything and was appropriately dressed. Got the worst...

Tucked away in the stylish Al Wasl district, Lune CafĂ© offers a delightful escape for those seeking calm surroundings paired with thoughtfully prepared food and drink. On my recent visit, I had the opportunity to enjoy the café’s relaxed charm and was impressed by the overall experience.

The atmosphere at Lune CafĂ© is serene yet modern, with minimalist interiors, soft lighting, and well-curated dĂ©cor that create a tranquil setting — ideal for both quiet conversations and solo visits. The ambiance earns a solid 4/5, striking a fine balance between cozy and contemporary.

I ordered the Grilled Wings Platter, which came perfectly seasoned, smoky, and tender — a great pick for those who appreciate depth of flavor in simple dishes. The Half Kilo Mixed Grill Platter followed, offering a variety of meats that were well-cooked and satisfying. While not the most adventurous of dishes, they delivered on quality and portion, deserving a respectable 4/5 for food.

To accompany the meal, I had their Lemon & Mint drink, which was bright, crisp, and incredibly refreshing — the perfect complement to the heavier grilled items.

Where Lune Café truly shines is in its service, which I would confidently rate 5/5. Staff were prompt, friendly, and attentive throughout, making the experience smooth and welcoming without being intrusive.

To be clear, this review is not about the cafĂ© itself but about the valet company that handles their parking. I recently visited a lune cafĂ© in Dubai and used the valet parking service managed by this company. Upon arrival, I was not given a ticket for my car. I assumed it was intentional since the parking area was almost empty and thought the car would remain in front of the cafĂ©. When I returned, the valet staff — Emad — insisted that I had received a ticket and rudely demanded that I pay a fine for “losing” it. He even told me, “I’ll open the cameras and show you that I gave it to you,” but when I asked him to actually check, he refused. I eventually followed another staff member to my car and was shocked: the car was parked far away, the window was left open, the key was still inside the cupholder !!! (exactly where I had mentioned), and the ticket itself was also left inside the car. This is extremely careless and unsafe. What makes this worse is the company’s own slogan printed on the valet ticket: “Your car, our commitment.” Leaving a vehicle exposed with the keys inside is the complete opposite of commitment. Instead of apologizing, the staff accused me of “making drama” to avoid paying, which is simply unacceptable and rude. Such unprofessional behavior can harm the reputation of the venues they work with, and serious improvements in professionalism and accountability are urgently needed.

This is one of those Wasl cafes the locals love. Has a good view of the Dubai skyline, as with many Wasl establishments. Ample parking is available on the street outside, you will have better luck in the mornings though. This place gets excessive traffic at night time as the locals horde the multitude of cafes and restaurants here. We had the specialty coffees, red velvet for me and white mocha for her. Both are horribly sweet. The price markup is about 20% extra over popular coffee franchises. After perusing the menu and its prices we ended up ordering only one cake slice, since the line between affording something and willingly being ripped off has been crossed here. Cake was good, I certainly liked the texture and how the cake base seamlessly melds into the cake itself. Unfortunately the sweet drinks didn’t help with this sweet dessert. Was the one slice of cake AED63 good though? Not in my opinion. I’ll offer an honest take. The overpriced offerings and the vibe feels like a subtle nudge to deter any non local residents and tourists from the cafe. This one, ores, late lounge, ortho, huna/NAC further down are all examples of this. The Jumeirah people are willing to pay the premium to have an environment to themselves. Perfectly fine with me.
