At 8.05 am on a Sunday, we walked in. We came for this place specifically. Sad to say that the staff didn't even bother to come forward and seat us and there were a number of them getting the place ready. When we asked whether they are open, one lady who appeared physically over strong ignored us. Another gentleman started looking at his watch. Give me a break guys, u guys had the restaurant entrance open and when I am asking, why dun u come forward and direct me to tables? Finally we sat on a table outside and called for attention. Caroline came forward to take our order. Strangely they dun have WiFi service. WiFi is like air nowadays and they seemed to have ignored that. We ordered Acai bowl and classic breakfast. Both looked beautifully presented. Acai was too cold, perhaps we were the first one. Interestingly I have noticed, wherever I step in, the place soon used to have more tables filling in and it happened here too. Mind you, they charge you extra for an extra slice of bread. The classic breakfast is overall nice, could be better as it needs to provide value for money. The Acai bowl is indeed value for money, but presentation could be better and fruits could be more. Caroline offered us 2 slices of extra bread when I ordered only one. Perhaps she too realized that it was needed for a breakfast as add on complimentary and how many slices one will eat when there are 2 eggs, bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes etc. Small things do matter, isn't it? Lemme get to that @tashas ,, we were given cutlery but it had only one fork for 2 of us. And no butter knife came along with butter. Personal attention was lacking, though our interactions with Caroline was good. Overall, guest contacts, eye for detail was missing. Ambience is awesome and definitely a place to chill, if u can ignore a few service related aspects. I was surprised that Caroline didn't charge us for extra bread slices. I guess she felt for it and I appreciate the empowerment given to her. When I asked her why she didn't charge me for it, she smiled and said it's from her. That's nice of her. Guess she had a sharp perception. We left from there leaving a small courtesy for her. She was busy at her POS and hence didn't get to say bye. Thanks Tasha for this though I wanted to pay for it. For Acai, I will come back. I know I rated less as overall the attention to details need...
Read moreI am sure the last few months have been exceedingly stressful on a lot of us having to adjust to the new normal which feels completely normal now. From exploring restaurants and malls every weekend, our homes became our new confines. However, this weekend with the view of truly discovering a place that would not only give me a slice of what my life was pre-covid but take me to a land of culinary delights I decided to visit Tashas. I was excepting a lesser crowd at the Galleria mall but no it was packed! I was sceptical to be honest whether or not I would be served my meal on time or anyone would even notice me but I was glad to be wrong. The electrityfing atmosphere of the place, the decor and the customer service was too good! I am not much of a heavy eater or whatever that is so I ordered poached eggs with asparagus and an elderberry and pear granita. Oh well what do I say?! I never knew eggs could taste this good! The serving time was quick. The only hindrance communicating with masks on as I had to repeat everything. However this minor inconvenience aside... everything else perfect. Great if you alone or...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tashas, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with an elegant yet cozy atmosphere that made me feel instantly at home.
A special mention must go to Ms. Amina, who greeted us with such grace and professionalism. Her warm welcome set the tone for the entire evening. Throughout our meal, she provided impeccable service, always attentive without being intrusive, and her recommendations were spot on. It's rare to find someone who can balance such high levels of service with genuine warmth, but Ms. Amina did it effortlessly.
The food was simply outstanding—each dish was a delightful fusion of flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience at Tashas is truly commendable.
