Box Park's RSVP lured me in with its sleek Parisian vibes, but the experience left me feeling a bit like a deflated soufflé. Prices were steep, portions stingy, and the food, while decent in parts, didn't quite justify the hype.
My drink, a sugary concoction tasting of store-bought syrup, was laughable for its size and a hefty 60 dirhams. The focaccia, however, was a welcome surprise - crispy crust, fluffy interior, and a delightful burrata filling. The accompanying rocket salad was also a fresh and vibrant hit.
The 365 dirham entrecôte steak, ordered medium, verged on well done. While not inedible, it lacked the juicy tenderness one expects at that price point. You could easily find better steaks for half the cost elsewhere in Dubai.
The poulet piccata chicken, while flavorful, leaned towards the dry side. The ice cream tower, prepared with theatrical flourish tableside, was all show and no substance. The ice cream itself was average, the theatrics mere frosting on a cake that wasn't all that delicious, targeting your Instagram account more than your taste buds.
Service was another disappointment. Despite the mandatory 5% service charge on our bill, we had to flag down waiters multiple times. The restaurant was more than half empty..
In the end, RSVP felt like a place where style outshines substance. The food, while not terrible, didn't live up to the chic Parisian facade or the hefty price tag. If you're looking for a truly memorable dining experience in Box Park, I'd recommend exploring...
Read moreUnfortunately, this visit was very disappointing, especially since it was meant to be a special celebration for our friend’s graduation. We've visited this restaurant before and had good experiences, but this time was quite the opposite. We had made a reservation, but upon arriving and starting to place our orders, we were told that many of the dishes were unavailable—including the snail, lamb chops, and cod burger—because the oven wasn't working. This was a major inconvenience, and we felt this should have been communicated to us ahead of time, especially since it was late and we had limited alternatives. The manager did come to speak with us and offered complimentary dessert as a gesture, which we appreciated. However, even the dessert we wanted (ice cream-based) was unavailable due to the chiller being out of order. It just added to the overall disappointment. We received our starters quickly, but had to wait an hour for our main courses, which made the evening even more frustrating. On top of that, the AC wasn’t functioning properly and we were told it was under maintenance. While the staff were kind and genuinely tried to make up for the situation by not letting us to pass the bill, it’s clear that the management needs serious improvement. The entire experience felt mismanaged and unfortunately ruined what was meant to be a...
Read moreI recently visited RSVP with some friends, and after not being impressed the first time, I decided to give it another shot to see if my experience would improve. Unfortunately, it didn’t. The service was below average, which might have been due to it being a weekend, but that didn’t make up for the struggles we had throughout the meal. Our order was repeatedly incorrect, and we had to remind the waiter twice about missing items, which didn’t make for a smooth dining experience.
As for the food, the beef tartare and RSVP salad were decent, but the calamari was served cold, which was disappointing. For the main course, we had the chicken lemon and risotto, but honestly, I found it overpriced for the quality. The food didn’t live up to the price tag, and I left feeling like it wasn’t worth the cost.
On top of that, the music was a bit off-putting, and the place was packed, which added to the overall chaos. It felt more like a one-time visit rather than a place I'd want to return to. Overall, I can’t say I’d recommend RSVP. It’s definitely not the dining experience I...
