One of the best restaurants serving Yemeni cuisine, i tried several restaurants, but madfoon alsadaa the food has become my top top favorite restaurants serving yemeni food. It literally exceeded my expectations. Gozi meat and madfoon meat was incredibly tasty and delicious, the food was served hot and fresh, the meat was cooked very well, that by a single touch it was getting melted in hand and it was mouth watering. The rice was well cooked with suitable amount of oil and it included raisins which made it more appetizing. The dishes were served with tomato sauce to make the food smooth, but it was no need since the food was already very good and smooth. The aryan laban is must try, it was unique taste of laban with mint, i enjoyed every single food in the restaurant. The watercress salad was also so tasteful with pomegranate sauce, also a must try. They served us with complimentary soup of meat mandi, it was spicy and good. For desert we ordered cheese kunafa, the cheese was not good, as the cheese needed to be chewed a-lot and it was not getting chewed, the cheese seemed not to suit the kunafa sweet. At last we were served with mint black tea for free, it was flavorful and clean our stomach from the food oil. The prices were affordable and reasonable for the food portion, it was satisfying everyone needs. The food was scrumptious and exceeded my expectations. For my first visit the service was good, however the next time it was so crowded and waited a bit time to get a seat, also when we finished the food, they took too long to clean in front of us, and the waiters were slow when asked for spoon, fork, tissue or wipes, they should faster their service a bit. Also, they added additional thing in our receipt without us ordering, so focus on your receipts. The place has different seating concept and you could choose the one that suits your family or friends desire. The design was simple and somehow giving the sense of Yemeni restaurant. Parking valet 5dhs. Overall, best restaurant serving yemeni food, and hopefully they could faster their service and educate their waiters to be polite, friendly and serve customers for their needs. Also clean the table faster not calling them...
Read moreI have been living in the UAE for more than a decade but it took 8 years until I decided to try the traditional Yemeni cuisine. Since then I regret every day I wasted without enjoying this unique kitchen. My first experience with Yemeni food a couple of years ago was at Madfoon Al Sadda with a Saudi friend. He ordered for us the Haniz or Haneeth Shoulder. It was then that I fell in love with this dish. Since then I tried other dishes or styles of cooking like Mandi, Madfoon, Mazbi but Haniz remains my favorite. So Madfoon Al Sadda has a special place in my heart or I should say in my belly :) So when a friend invited me for a late lunch yesterday I didn’t hesitate at all.
Haniz Shoulder 99AED (10/10) Goat Shoulder marinated and cooked in a Tandoor oven served with rice. The Goat shoulder is slow cooked until the meat is very tender and it nearly falls off the bone. The shoulder is served on a bed of rice with spices, raisins and almonds. Served with a complimentary soup, a delicious spicy tomato sauce, fried onion to add to the rice. Haniz is a very typical celebratory dish served at Yemeni festivals and weddings.
The service is amazing, the staff is super friendly. When you finish your meal, the staff will offer you a complimentary house tea, don’t miss it.
Parking is very easy they have a free valet parking.
I highly recommend...
Read moreI recently visited Madfoon Al Sadda and had a really great time. The atmosphere was very nice clean, calm, and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a good meal without feeling rushed or crowded. Perfect for families, friends, or even a solo visit.
The food was absolutely delicious! I tried their madfoon and it was spot on. The meat was super tender and flavorful, and the rice was soft and packed with just the right amount of spices. You can tell everything is freshly made with a lot of care. It’s one of those meals where you can’t help but keep eating even when you’re full!
The service was also really good. The staff were friendly, polite, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out pretty quickly and everything was served fresh and hot, which I really appreciated.
Prices were fair, and the portion sizes were generous. You definitely get good value for your money here.
Overall, Madfoon Al Sadda is a great spot if you’re craving authentic flavors in a relaxed setting. I will definitely be coming back again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and...
