Orto cafe — Restaurant in Dubai

I heard so much about this place and was thoroughly disappointed after visiting today.

First, my order consisted of a dark latte and for 37 dhs, the portion was extremely tiny, probably no more than 4-5 oz which isn’t acceptable, albeit it was delicious. But for the price it’s absolutely not worth it.

My friend ordered a decaf cortado and after more than 5 mins later, the staff came up to us and told us decaf isn’t available anymore. It was a logistical nightmare to try and get the refund back, and they kept offering other caffeinated beverages which she can’t have, and didn’t offer cash back and it took too long for them to refund the amount. After that, she went next door to get a matcha and we were promptly told it’s not allowed to get outside drinks. While understandable, it was their fault we had to resort to this at this stage; and they coukd have offered a solution whereby they could put her drink in a discreet plastic cup so that I could continue my drink at least. At this point, it seriously felt like they didn’t want us there and they don’t care about customer happiness at all.
