I am extremely disappointed with my first visit at Cha Chai cafe in Silicon Oasis near Souq extra. July 12, 2025 around 8AM today. I ordered an iced tea, to my surprised the cashier served the drink too late and with a two very tiny peace of ice and dried mint leaf as water does not look clean , sugar is still sitting on the bottom of the drink. It almost like a normal water NOT an ice refreshing cold drink, NOT even worth 2 dirham. Since the breakfast wrap we ordered does not taste good, we ask for a take out. However, she just put the box on the table without even a paper bag. She offered water so i ordered one but she end up having me pay for more since she said the water i got has different price. She could have informed me that there were two different prices. ALL IN ALL IT WAS A BAD EXPERIENCE. BELOW LEVEL OF BASIC STANDARD. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. THE CASHIER NEEDS PROPER BASIC TRAINING AND FOOD HYGIENE AS THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ALL PEOPLE. Would have love to come back if it wasn’t for our...
Read morecha cha chai is another fad-ish mid to lower end tea centric cafe that sprung up in dubai in the recent past ever since 'karak' chai (tea) became a thing. It competes with the likes of Filli but you can tell it never really hit off like Filli did. Main reason: it is just another run of the mill tea shop with a decent(ish) cafe seating area.
The chai is okay, nothing spectacular, the food is unhealthy but the taste isnt too bad (coz it ain't good for you obviously, I.e. too greasy and/or too sweet depending on what you eat).
what is has going for it is that its location is central( parking can be an issue though), friendly manager ( some of other the staff can be a hit or miss) and failrly quick service. Wifi works most of the time .
in conclusion, if you dont want to ponder too much and need a place to just sit and just work or meet (and not overspend on an overpriced coffee), then Cha Cha Chai, is fine. Experience wise filli is better but filli has...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Cha Cha Chai (Dubai Silicon Oasis Branch). While eating, I found a sharp piece of plastic inside the food, embedded in the melted cheese. This wasn’t just a minor oversight like a hair; it was a serious food safety hazard.
The plastic had clearly been heated along with the food, which means I may have unknowingly consumed melted plastic. This could have caused choking, internal injury, or toxic chemical ingestion. The sight of it alone was enough to ruin my appetite, and I’m still worried about the health risks.
For a well-known restaurant in Dubai, I did not expect such negligence. I urge the management to take this seriously and investigate how this happened. Food safety must be your top priority because next time, it could cause real harm.
I’ve kept evidence and am considering escalating this to Dubai Municipality if I don’t hear from your team with a proper explanation and...
