Further to Nisha's tagged in Abu Shagra branch review, we had a disappointing conversation with Ashik and Raja from the Abu Shagra branch. They themselves admitted that the food quality is poor and won't be good unless consumed within 3 hours of purchase. Instead of taking responsibility and improving the quality, they are trying to shift the blame onto us, suggesting that we should have used the meals for 5 by last night, purchased less food, or ordered as needed rather than in advance. It's shameful that they are undermining their own brand name instead of addressing the core issue.
“ We had the worst experience last night. We ordered meals for five people and received the delivery at 10:30 PM from Deliveroo. Since we had guests visiting this morning, we ate about a quarter of the food using a serving spoon and stored the rest in the fridge, as we usually do with leftovers from other restaurants like SS Bucket, Taj Banglore etc. However, when we opened the container this morning, we found the food had spoiled. Upon contacting the restaurant, they explained that the container quality was poor and suggested we should have transferred the food to a different container upon arrival. They also mentioned that either they or the delivery rider should have informed us about this. It was a waste of money, and I advise against buying food from them, as they use inferior quality...
Read moreThey are known for serving the finest Bucket Biryani in town, following the traditional Chennai Muslim style. The biryani is prepared using long basmati rice cooked with a delightful blend of spices in dum style. It offers a mild level of spiciness, making it suitable for people of all ages, including children. Each serving of biryani is moist, tender, and filled with generous portions of chicken or mutton. The portion sizes are substantial, often providing two ample servings for two individuals in a bucket meal for two. Additionally, they offer side dishes such as the highly recommended Chicken 65. The meal also includes Dalcha, a lentil-based stew with brinjal, and Onion Raita. A sweet treat, either Gulab Jamun or Bread Halwa, is typically included. We frequently order from CBB.
However, I should mention that when we once ordered a meal for 10 people, it arrived with five boxes of Chicken 65, Dalcha, and an exceptionally large bucket of biryani, which ended up serving more than 10 people across two servings. It is advisable to consult with them for guidance when ordering for parties or larger groups.
The biryani is so well-crafted that it can be refrigerated and reheated for later consumption, as long as it is not left at room temperature for an extended period.
Overall, it is undoubtedly the best...
Read moreExtremely rude customer service, asked the price of biryani and the person at delivery table said a price, when I went to pay at the counter, it was more, when I asked about it, he rudely showed a pamphlet stuck below to say "you should read properly". Wow wow, I was taken aback by the response, all I requested was for a clarification on why the counter guy mentioned a price lower to what I was charged, a simple polite explanation would have worked rather than "YOU should have read" whereas the fine print was in small Font compared to the rest of brochure, very similar to credit card and financial fine prints... Although the biryani was good, I don't think I'll want to embarrass myself by going there again to a poor customer service, poor communication, having to wait being ignored for sometime before anyone asks what you need, and being rudely attended to (when your...
